What sort of thing would you have asked for? And how would you word it? I didn't want to sound cheeky... but then again they were the ones in the wrong...0

What were the other altercations you mentioned?0

vote with your feet and don't go back. Thats what I do. I got a snotty farewell once from one of those places because I didn't leave a tip! IT'S A BUFFET!!
hahSometimes you get what you deserve... :cool2:0 -
That's just it though, I like the food and every other occasion I've been there the service/staff have been excellent - so I do want to go back. (But not if that guy is going to be there..)0

erm, maybe go back, get the chefs name, then next time you want to go give them a quick call and see if he is on duty. If he is say no to booking a table and explain why. I am sure you would only need to do this a couple of times before he gets 'told' to brush up on his customer service skills...Sometimes you get what you deserve... :cool2:0

- when 3 of my party (incl. me) asked for a stuffing ball (the chef usually asks you if you want one before handing you your plate) he rolled his eyes and almost threw it onto our plates.
- I asked for another piece of beef as he only gave me one small slice (you usually get 3-4 and there was plenty of beef left before you ask) and I got another roll of the eyes and a look as though I was the one being inpolite.
He also seemed to have a lack of basic hygeine skills because he kept manhandling all of the plates and flicking scraps of meat back onto the serving trays/stands.0 -
I think I would give it a couple more weeks and see if you get a reply. I suspect this particular employee may have a chequered employment history.Give it 3 months and he will probably have gone.0

Do have to add though that rude people in customer service roles really p me off! If you don't want to serve with a smile and deal with people, get another job!Sometimes you get what you deserve... :cool2:0

Lol. I should've got his name in the first place. I think that now I know what to expect from him I might just say something to him if I see him again (I'd never seen him before that day). Although, I probably won't get more than a shrug for a response! And if he does do something that I find to be out of order I'll say something to the Manager there and then. It was just the shock of it on the day that stopped me doing that in the first place. Now I'm prepared :cool2:0 -
Thanks for all your replies guys, you definitely changed my views on how to deal with this sort of thing.
With any luck he'll be gone next time I visit and if he is there he better watch out0
