And what about the aforementioned child, have you sent him to work down the mines for the night? :rotfl:

I've had a very dirty evening... picking the last of my veg from my rain-sodden garden, and then the lovely job of removing mould from the bathroom walls

He is only 13 Red, I couldnt possible send him down the mine:rolleyes: .......he still fits up the chimney anyway:D

I am getting a really bad problem with mould in my bathroom too........its probably not helped by my 15 year old who insists on having 15 minute showers:mad:

I've got loads of mould, I'm not sure whether or not it's something to report to the council (my landlord) or if it's my problem though.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

If it's bad and you can't keep on top of it by wiping it off and keeping the rooms well ventilated then I would definitely let them know, it's not good for you! Have a friend who works for the council and they recently did a load of going round "de-moulding" flats and painting with anti-mould paint.

I get a bit in the living room too, which is caused my condensation (sure this flat is airtight when all the window are shut ), but the bathroom wall is mainly because of a leak that runs down the outside making the wall damp - apparently being fixed next week but it's got so bad the wall will have to be stripped and repainted once it's dried out.

Oh what an exciting topic of conversation :rotfl:

Some really good advice there Jinky mate, thanks for that.....not sure about leaving the heating on all day though:eek:

Its true that North facing walls are the worst, my bedroom is north facing and the window is usually running with condensation on a morning despite having double glazing. I am constantly having to wipe down the frames and open the windows. The south facing windows are fine.
