Christmas presents for teachers

My kids are making chocolate slabs for their schoolfriends/teachers/grandparents this year. We did a trial run, just with what we already had in the house (I'll buy sweets and things for decoration for the Xmas ones..) and they were fab!0

Mine normally buy the teachers something from Oxfam Unwrapped. I've helped out in school and I know the teachers get piles of stuff. They like the school related Oxfam gift as it means less priviledged children out there are really benefitting from their gift.

Bunbun where did you get your gold plate from? thats lovely!!
I mentioned to OH last night about the pot of gold and he thinks I should do this for sisters/brothers etc aswell as the sweety hamper so I might well do that! he said it was a fantastic idea so that has given me the go ahead to do one for him secretly.
Can I just say to those who are using scratch cards don't buy them too early as scratchcards have a set period in which to claim any winnings. I asked at my local shop today and he advised me that most shops have stock of scratch cards and sometimed they have been there that long that they have to send them back to maunfacturers.Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0

Thanks I will have a nosey about and see if I can find anything similar. They look like the kind of pretty plates you can get to stand candles on them so maybe somewhere like Au naturale or something.
