Google SEO and SERPS. It is not a one sentence answer, although if it was it would be something like "build a site and get lots of high ranking sites to link to it".Rocky.0 -
If you want to know how to get your sites into search engines and higher up the rankings you should start by reading http://selfpromotion.com/.0

slightly off topic. i have recently acquired a domain name for a new business i am about to start.
i am a sole trader, so will just need to change details of my business name with the tax office.
i would however like to try and trademark the name, but from what I can tell if i want to check whether i can trademark it i need to pay for the pleasure, and thats before paying for the trademark.
any advice ?:grouphug:

i created a website and am still working on it being www.fightingdebt.co.uk
i had the idea to create it after getting loads of help although have taken on a much bigger challenge then I thought! once completed it will be more of a signpost as going to remove the forum on it but keep a guestbook in light of the amount of forum sites like this which are excellent and also the 3 I know are dealing with legal disputes and might close (1 appears to already)
under google i come up quite high in uk and all for searches using the words fighting debt but it took a lot of work and I used google webtools to do it, just trying to get msn and yahoo bit now but getting there.
you can't really concentrate on just advertising links as all that seems to throwup are more links and you don't really get anywhere! and it will put people off from looking at it
try adding key words for google to find it and do use google webtools which all you need to do is go to google and join up.
i used a user friendly site builder which also allowed me to try html as well as the usual copy, pasteweb building software, nade sure it looked as I wanted it too instaed of using a template.
rather then just park it there why not try a few ideas as you are paying for something that is not doing a lot0 -
i can develop a website onto this domain if you want better rankings/visits.
the 123 reg sitebulder looks a bit basic.0
