Evening all,
Right need some help of you experts . . . . . I have a website domain that i bought off 123 reg and its in relation to the credit crunch and I believe that it is a question that people will be putting into google.
Now, what im wondering is what I need to do next? Do I park it or should i put it to auction or what?
Any help would be really appreciated as im by no means a pro at things like this?
Thanks in advance

Correct me if i am wrong, but i did not think it matters to a google cashe what the domain name is,just the script on the site that gets picked-up??
So the website address or domain name will not help in a search?
If you own a Domain Name and sombody else wants it they will contact you as when they search to buy it the name is registered to you. This happened to me one on a domain i own that mentioned the word Tarmac,Solictors contacted me and i thought i would make a mint and sell it.
But it turned out to be a trademark issue with the company Tarmac so now we have to say TarmacadamOH THE JOYS OF BEING SELF-EMPLOYED!! Can Travel,Will Work For Free!0 -
yeh its nothing specific to do with a certain company and as i say, i wondered what the best advice would be, park it or auction it0

Why dont you tell us what it is so we can help with suggestions? It is not like we can register it before you

ok... best thing to do, if you want to sell it is to create a fake web page, with basic keywords in, so google actually indexes it..
if it is just on a 123 reg holding page, then it is doubtful it will get indexed..
now.. https://www.sedo.com deal with selling domain names, so you could park it up on there with a price you want, and see if it sells
gone is the day of selling domains for loads... i think you'll be lucky to make £100 on it if that...

I doubt it would be worth anything although if you would like to tell us,we could give it further consideration.0

It would really help us give advice if you actually mentioned the domain name. If you won't make the domain name public you are going to struggle sell it.
Without knowing the domain the best I can do is agree with markymoo that its probably not worth anywhere near what you expect. The best chance of selling it is to get traffic to it although I don't think a simple holding page will be enough. If you want a specific type of company to buy it you need to get serious traffic which would be relevant to them. You would need a full website which is actually relevant to the the domain name to attract real visitors.0 -

Good luck - I really don't think your going to make anything at all on that.0
