need to email them anyway re: not being at home for ten weeks, thanks for everyone's help though
I also spend a lot of time away - usually in 6 week blocks. I never told them when I signed up but just let them know at least 3 weeks before going away that I am on holiday and have had no problems. If you don't let them know earlier enough you end up with post arriving while you are away!0 -

As part of my received mail today I received another charity letter, nothing wrong with that in principle as I know it is part of the survey and not 'junk' mail. The thing is that this is the fourth one now 'pretending' to be from someone in dire need of something or other that have enclosed 12p (their last 12p in the world - don't ask me how someone from the Philippines or wherever got hold of the same 2x5p and 1x2p British currency) in the hope that I would send it back along with a donation of say £20, £50 or £100 (their words)! I just hope that people see through these things and do not send money to 'charities' like this while the more needy people miss out.
Has anyone else received these 12p letters or is it just me!?:mad:0 -
I've tried to post my letters at 10am yesterday I put them in the post box and walked away. I heard a noise and they had come back out again - the post box was full. I went into the post office and told them - they said there was nothing they could do but there would be a collection in about 1/2 an hour!0

What naughty letters they were,i can just see them now,'quick she's gone, lets climb back out':rotfl:If you board the wrong train, it is no use running along the corridor in the other direction.

Yeah ive had a couple of these a week, im pretty switched on and will only give to the 1 or 2 charities i have chosen to support.
But im pretty sure there will be the odd 1 or 2 people who think this is genuine, and will send money to them0 -

I'm doing a misdelivered items survey at the moment. Is it really just as easy as putting how many letters I get a day if I don't get any doorstepped mail or mis directed ?"Sealed Pot challenge" member No. 138

Yes it is! Have been invited to do another one at the start of January, think that will be my fourth now.
I've received my posting pack for the next two weeks, I've got to send something on Christmas Eve!0
