It seems strange that they are 'sacking' people as they can't afford it to then take new people on....2020 Mortgage-Free Wannabes #20 £1495.03/£2760 OP0 -
Maybe it's also to do with areas that people live in? Bearing in mind that some postcode areas are huge, perhaps they have too many using one group of postboxes, and not enough using another group of postboxes? I use quite a lot of different boxes over a radius of about 7 miles to try to make sure I'm giving them a run for their money, so to speak. I also suppose that built up inner city areas are always going to need more panelists than more rural areas due to the volume of mail and the "things that go wrong..."Yeah, whatever. I'm a grown up, I can take it...0

Just wondering if anyone could help me clarify a couple of things?
Items recieved - here i enter items recieved from other panelists only is that correct? Do i also need to enter things received from Kantar like my stationary, and items to post?

The items received to be entered are the ones you receive from other panelists and/or the weekly/monthly magazines only!!

Well lannyloo and joven were still using them at the end of January and newbies were still receiving the sheets in February but maybe they have rolled it out across the board completely now...which is good as I think the new system is much easier2020 Mortgage-Free Wannabes #20 £1495.03/£2760 OP0 -
Hard to know really. I live in a very rural area and have loads of problems like lazy postman not liking to get out of his van when it rains, leaving stuff poked into the gatepost on the lane, postboxes not being emptied for days, nothing ever keeps to any of the times stated on the boxes. In my case I'm really aware of problems, Kantar keep asking me to confirm the day one or the other of my magazines arrives as it's frequently late. I've got postings till the end of next week so I hope I stay on. Kantar tell me that although they're cutting back, the survey will still be continuing. The trouble is it shouldn't be just about the efficiency of the service although of course it is, my regular postman likes a chat and knows everyone around, it's a bit Postman Pat-ish, but the survey doesn't allow for those old ways.

Yes, it is hard to know. Where I live we've had a history of problems over the years such as mail being opened and mail not arriving at all. I have had several parcels never arrive - last autumn we had another stint of that. Since I first moved here a few years ago it has definitely improved a lot. Nowadays it is quite rare for an item to have been opened and taped back up again, but it used to be commonplace. I'd like to think that surveys such as this have made a difference.
I seem to be still going strong here (more so than ever) but I've told myself that if I get booted off I will eventually go back to always buying stamps with lovely pictures on them. I've missed that a bit over the last year. I always smile when I get post with a nice stamp on it. And of course it's worth more to the people who collect used stamps for charity. I've decided that that's my silver lining if it happens!Yeah, whatever. I'm a grown up, I can take it...0 -
