Is it safe?
(looks around nervously for mantraps)
I'd actually put the cheque in and deal with whatever problems come up later. They sent it to you so they must be expecting you to cash it. It doesn't really make sense for an organisation that says you owe it money to be giving you more money does it? They probably know they've made a mess of it somewhere but will need time to sort it all out. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91

Thanks guys (hugs(
Appreciate you popping in...
I have changed my job as you may have known just waiting to start wftx know all about this but im to ring them with new wage etc. Well my new wage is even less so what they have valued me at for payments is bound to be more as they are basing it on obviously a higher wage.
Everyone here said get it in get the money its their problem and because i know in my self i dont owe them they will probably just do their sums and it will disappear.
I have to say tho the wftx forms are possibly the most confusing thing i have ever had to write!2025 Wins ::

Morning all! And are we all managing to stay warm?
Had a lovely meal last night and then hit Tesco's around 11pm... my god the stuff those guys have to shelf stack thru the night is mahoosive the aisles were full of trolleys but......... i had the supermarket to myself so it was heaven! Spent about £40 quid on bits and bobs but that included a big book for dd xmas pressie which was £9 and lots of meat/potatoes/fruit/veggies etc was good on the " treat" side of things for once...:rotfl:
This morning i got up and cooked us all brekkie, me dd and new bf and then he washed up put away and hung some pictures for me..:lovethougit feels soo ruddy weird having someone active and thoughtful! But of course im not knocking it.
He has just taken both cars to the car wash to have them done with dd so i think they hitting it off nicely!
In ref to my wftx... i cashed it.! As george said they gave me it in one hand and said i owed them well thats up to them to get it back but its xmas im between jobs and im not struggling due to their mistakes!
Heading into town this afternoon when im finished work to grab a few bits... really need a list or ill be toing and froing all week!
Have a good one all xxx

:snow_laug
Morning all from a very confused smamfer... well i say confused just sat here laughing at my post..
If you have read my past few posts you will see the WFTX have given me money, said i owe them, and given me some more...
I ended up cashing it and thought sod it if they want it back they can do it next year etc..
This morning i received a letter....
Thank you for telling us that you now work less than sixteen hours a week..( i dont didnt and never have done)
This means that you are no longer entitled to wftx...( yes i am as u pay me it)
We have already sent you a new award notice showing that your wftx is stopped from the date your hours reduced.
New rules means that we can now pay you wftx for 4 weeks after the date your hours reduced..( they never did )
The amount you are entitled to is shown below.
Now get this!!
WFTX due for the perdio 26/06/2007 = £169.70
Amount we have used to reduce a tax credit overpayment = £0
Amount payable to you =£169.70
Now im not saying these people are slow... but its taken them a year and a half to give me my money which they stated was for dropping hours... and i never did :rotfl:
I really do wonder how these people have been trained at times, *shakes head*
All in all had a nice family based wknd. did abit more shopping which i admit i wasnt going to but it was all bargains, came home to realise i hadnt paid full price for anything.
All i have to buy now for is nw bf xmas pressie and my daughters laptop... so if anyone spotting any amazing deals feel free to let me know thanks xx

Anyone seen my nice bank balance
Bit of a down day and probably me pre empting bad things and in actual fact all will be ok.
This bloody CRB check still isnt back and they promised to call me friday to organise some office hours so i was earning in the meantime..........
Friday came and went... nothing
Monday came and went.. the phone was unanswered all day
Tuesday,, today i finally got through to a lady who said.." oh yes the manager will be organising you something your crb check still hasnt come through but if she hasnt called you by 1pm then call us back and ill chase her again"
Its not so much the waiting thats annoying me but they told me to hand my notice in as they needed me asap and i did. Also because i text from home i didnt book many hours in this week thinking i would be starting/office based and sods law most hours have been booked so i cant sit here and work much until someone cancels.
Finished my xmas shopping and as usual spent more than i said but its done now so no point wittling about it i suppose.
Do have the laptop to buy for my dd it sounds extravagant but as stated in previous posts she passed her 11+ this year and was only child in school to do so and as it was my dream for her to go there i said i would get her one so im keeping to my word. Her dad said he would give me half...... well if the past 10 yrs maintenance are anything to go by then im not holding my breath. I sat in bed and shed a little tear last night thinking about everything as im sure most of us did and New Bf has offered to pay my exes half on his credit card and i can pay him back giving me up till feb to pay it as he is on 0%. I am such an independant ole cow always managed on my own and he knows how hard this is to accept. He made me get up at 3am find the laptop we wanted and reserve it as only one of them left within about 70 mile radius!
I couldnt do cashback on it as we are getting it from the shop but i do have about £60 worth of nectar points saved on my card so i shall be using them instore.
So today im going to spend as much time as possible online doing clicks/surveys/slicing the pie and anything else i can think of. I do have some things for Ebay but im waiting till after xmas when maybe people are spending their savings plus it saves the hastle of posting them and not sure on delivery times etc.
Im also not able to do some payment a days for a bit which has frustrated me but i am sticking some in a pot to compensate it. i have been doing really well on them and paying lots each day but just right now till i know my start date on new job and when wage is in i cant afford to pay anything over for the time being.
Right mission planned......Im off to mission accomplish!

aw thanks
I know my debt seems tiny compared to many people on here but the fact that I can't afford to make any repayments until after christmas is stressing me out. I can't blame you for getting stressed out over the job situation. I got my job at p4u about 2 months ago, was interviewed for the permanent position and assumed when I got the phonecall saying congratulations that that was the job I got. Turned out that 2 weeks later when the paperwork came through, I was an xmas temp! Am doing that anyway, and luckily my boss is brilliant and is trying really hard to keep me on afterwards.
Hopefully your job situation will get sorted out soon, did the person call you back?

Morning debt busters how are we all??
The laughs at the beginning are aimed at the WFTX people yet again.. Got 3 letters from them yesterday.. yes 3 arent i lucky. Do these people have any idea what they are doing..
Quick recap... last week they sent me about 500 quid and a backpayment of 169.70 from year 06!!
They said then that I OWED THEM £1700 quid give or take a few pence. and they would get it at a later date.
Yesterday i got a letter from year 2006 about the 169 quid that ive already had.
I also got a letter for 07-08 saying I OWED THEM £1200 quid and i would get 30 quid a week as they would take rest away for my debt that i DONT OWE THEM.
In the other letter for 07.08 it said I OWED THEM ... nothing and i would be getting £45 quid a week
I swear to god one day i will meet someone in authority and put all my paper work in front of them and say..." You make sense of it as i ruddy cant" :rotfl:
Managed to finish xmas shop yesterday :T Yes i spent more than i should but NONE of it went on cards or o/d so thats a good one. Just got to wrap the !!!!!!s now :rotfl:
Re new job.... they actually called me back yesterday and im on an all day training day tomorrow 9-4 which i will get paid for thank god! Then once this CRB check comes i can get started ... fingers crossed:rolleyes:
Only problem is as i also do texting from home approx 20-30 hours a week ive had to book crappy hours here and there and hope they fit in when i get working as i wont know what hours ill be working in home or on what days and i really cant afford to lose out on both
Gee lifes never easy is it!
Thank for popping in guys!2025 Wins ::
