Thank you for popping in sweetie i thought i was all alone and well done you for reading my life so far.. are you still awake??:rotfl:

It is annoying you try and do the right thing and it blows up in your face! If i hadnt have called today and gotten this kind man to push an email through it could have been sat there for ages. The website states 90% done in max 4 weeks.... so why is mine 9 when i know im clear!!! Was there that many santa's wanting a crb to do their xmas job????

I think ive decided to go self employed doing my texting full time while im waiting and just hope it doesnt mess things up as and when the crb does come through and i can start this job and go back on the books..... thats if i decide to take it as my hearts not in it right now xxx

Ah babe I know your heart's not in it now...but it was...look back over your posts leading up to your interview and just after...you were so psyched as it's what you want to do! I bet it'll be sorted before you know it and you'll be up for it. In the mean time hardcore it on the texts and keep spends to a low and you'll ride it out. My cashflow crisis is the worst it's ever been so I know what you're going through!!

Just spoke to my new " as and when" employees once again and have been informed of 3 new training days next week.

Only thing is i have to cancel my texting hours to do these training hours and the training days i do only get paid when i actually start the job! So im turning down work which i know i will get paid for for work which i dont know when ill get paid for lol...

I clearly stated to the manager that im living on thin air handouts from family etc so she said she would ring payroll on monday and ask if the training day i did on the 19th december could be paid early rather than making me wait,, sounds good but if the past 2 months have anything to go by.......... i won't hold my breath.

So she said she will start pushing this crb more regularly and see why its taking so long... but end of day if its out of their hands all we can do is sit and wait...( wasnt that a song:confused: )

So im wondering now rather than the whole self employed thing... as i have had training days... can i let WFTX know that im employed by them on minimum hours per week at moment until its through and still get credits???

Why the xxxx is it taking so long? Did they say what the holdup was in actually providing a contract? Have you even received a letter stating that you have the job or are they just bouncing this around all the other departments?

To be honest, i'm surprised you've waited this long. I would probably have told them to shove it by now as i wasn't prepared to work for an organisation with such poor levels of communication or management.

Hope you get this sorted soon.

Hiya george nice to see you again sweetie and happy new year to you too,,,

Its nothing to do with the actual company the CRB is ran by a different organisation altogether from what i can gather a police department included. Its just so frustrating as im sure you can imagine and as much as i felt like saying sod it i have looked at job sites and there really isnt much else, thankfully my texting job has kept me up with a few bills and of course new bf has helped majorly, Not a great start to a relationship but one i had to accept..

I called my bed people yesterday asking to pay the whole lot off in one go but they had added interest saying it had to be paid by 28th december.... i secretly new this but thought i would try it on anyway. I stated i didnt even have the bed delivered till 9th january so why should i have less than a year to pay it when it offers a year on the deal of buy now pay it later. He said i had to write to the compliance department but as i had been making payments it could go in my favour.,,, Worth a try.

Also contacted wftx and told them a few dates and said i need to get back in touch with my employers ref number and payroll address so they can recalculate my credits and said eventhough im on now and then they will carry on paying me it as i am actually employed as training is paid.,,

Ah well onwards and upwards right? xx

    << when will this be a :j ????

Afternoon all . yes im here again during the day which means still no CRB.. and now i have decided balls to it i can't live on thin air anymore and worry about the post!

This morning i was due to strart 3 days physical restraint training. I set off in thick ice at half 8 this morning to get there sit around for half an hour.. I then made a call to be told it was cancelled! Noone had bothered to let me know so i wasnt in best of moods!

So i have been on lots of job sites this morning and applied for a few random positions that are local and hopefully something will come up.

In the meantime i have decided that by wednesday i am calling the HMRC and declaring myself fully self employed and doing my texting full time. I can earn a decent enough wage from it and still get my tax credits and all be above board and not worry about who is oweing who.

Oh and as a good girl procedure i put 35 items on ebay over the weekend so fingers crossed i get some pennies xx

    Onwards and upwards! xxx

    Morning all

    Im feeling good.

Has my CRB check come through?????????????? No!

    Do i care??????????????????????????????????? No!

I have given up on the new job, maybe a strange decision to make but its one i felt i had to do. Ive waited since 28th October 2008 for it to come through and still nothing. The company have treated me like a mushroom ie kept in dark and fed carp! So i have made my decision to walk away before any further complications.

So today i got online and registered myself as self employed, I rang Tax Credits and changed my information to them and i have just complied a 3 page letter to the head office of the company stating how disgusted i was that their management could tell people to hand their notice in at previous jobs when they actually had no idea how long a CRB check could take. Ive also included lots of other information and asked for an offer of compensation for 2 months loss of earnings/tax credits. travelling/postage etc etc.
Whether i get anything of course will be another thing but having a sister who is a barrister may just come in handy ;):D

So as from today i am a fully self employed saucy texter i can make a decent living with it my credits will go up in time and i can pay my bills. Its only really short term while there isnt many full time jobs about in my area but while my rent is low i can manage. Won't be making massive cuts in my debts but i will be paying off a bit more than minimum required.

Also adding to this i will be slicing the pie/ebaying/clicking/cashbacking and anything else i can make a few quid on i shall be doing.

Onwards and upwards and feeling ok xx

Glad you're feeling okay about this. I would have been tempted to not bother telling them you were no longer interested, allowed them to continue all the checks, arrange for you to start - oh, i need another week before i can start ,oh i don't thik i'll be able to start until a little later... and string them along until they get sick of it. Your way is probably better, but i'd have been soooo tempted.

Hope it all works out for you.

Morning all.. Snotty Smamfer signing in with anything exciting...

    Cya! :rotfl:

Update on me,, as usual more so for me to look back on but always feel free to give me your two penneth!

Working from home full time now as you may or may not know depending on if you have been following my oh so exciting debt free journey.. Its going ok although i have had this dreaded cold...( ya know that man flu thing ) and its brought me down a bit but new bf (is he still new after 5 weeks  ) he turned up yesterday with a lovely bouquet and extra soft tissues to cheer me up.. God knows what i have done to deserve him but i like it so thank you lord!

CSA Nicely sent me yet another 37 page letter explaining how they work with 6 more booklets which i already have and a run down on my yearly payments ill be getting... Apparently there are some arrears...( yes i know try 10 years woth)... and these come to.... wait for it..... hold your breath....£ 3.67  so this is how it stands...
    Jan -Feb £1.83 a week
    Feb-Dec £1.25 a week
Dec onwards..... woopeeedooooo £2.50 a week
Should i call securicor?? lol Its just a joke ive stopped even discussing it with the ex now as once again he has come up smelling of roses....Apparently his accounts showed that he brings home less than £60 a week... yeah right o mate! I know different but of course its proving it that the problem.

Financially im not doing too bad, things are a bit tight, suppose they always going to be when you have debt but i have a freezer and fridge full of food...(thankyou bf) he sees it as i cook for him now and then and he stays over so its his way of contributing. His mum bless him gives me food hampers of what she has in her cupboards now and then.... Tin of mandarin segements anyone?:rotfl:

Compensation I have not heard back from the care company re my letter of complaint yet but i will be following this matter up next week if i have not heard back from them.

Found an old phone the other day that i had forgotten about.. did a Mazuma thingy where they give you money back and found out its worth £100!!:T So posting that off today!

Had a good clear out of clothes and things from around the place and just made £80 quid on ebay :T I do wish people would leave feedback quicker tho lol

Bed people said i didnt pay in time,...( i know but it was worth a try) so now the debt has gone up unless i want to pay it in one big sum if not its £17.28 per month for 3 months... i hate myself for allowing this to happen

Written an email to Vodaphone 2 times now to complain about a phone i had delivered before Xmas, noone has bothered to get back in touch with me so seems i have to take it higher and complain about their customer care yet again!

I think thats about me up to date really, lots going on and with the help of bf just being who he is im feeling positive and although im a long way off i think i'll be ok. I did just do him a 0% balance transfer with Virgin which he knew nothing about so that was my good deed for the month so far!

If you have read this... thanks.... xxx

    Keep on keeping on Smamfer.

Can't wait for you to write about ex being investigated by tax people due to them no believing he only earns £60 a week.

Glad the new one is such a huge improvement and that you're even able to help him.

    :kisses3:Thanks george!

Re the ex though he is self employed and its the figures he has somehow managed to give to the Inland Revenue/Tax etc that the CSA have gotten hold of and evaluated my figures!

I did explain to them that this made it actually impossible to live on and was under the national minimum rate and they just told me to get in touch with HMRC as i said before and tell them...... but they just don't want to know... so the way i see it is ive managed for 10 years and ill carry on managing xx
