  • The warning is till there this morning. Seems rather fishy to me.

First they offer worldwide services with DHL, and a FedEx van turns up, a week later they are not offering worldwide........why?

Just received this message today from my account manager with www.dpd.co.uk don't confuse with www.directparceldelivery.co.uk

    <snip>

    It's actually http://www.directparceldistribution.com and not .co.uk

On a general note, please remember that some problems are down to DHL and not the agent. DHL's systems die on a fairly regular basis so the drivers don't get the collection manifest. For some people your collection area will be done by a complete t****r or an agency driver who doesn't know the route  My regular DHL driver is damn good (and the stand in ones are OK too) so I almost never get a failed collection.

What weight are your parcels. For larger items I would use Interparcel and their Titan service (TNT couriers). Very reliable can say. You can also track your parcels from www.interparcel.com as soon as the driver picks them up. Don't know why but I trust TNT.

Yep, i've used Interparcel (DHL service) a few times and they've been fine.

    So far. ;)

After reading some posters recent hassles with directparceldistribution I was unsure whether to use them to send a 2.5kg parcel to Italy but bit the bullet and gave it a go. I booked online last night at 9pm and the item was picked up at 11am this morning :D I was a bit surprised when a Fed Ex van turned up as I was expecting DHL but i'm not complaining. Hopefully, the parcel will get to Italy ok.

My package was delivered yesterday in Italy so i will be using them again. :j

Aaaaaaaaaargh. Missed the pickup from DHL (arranged by Direct Parcels Distribution). I was in the house but definitely didnt hear any knock from the DHL driver. Next thing I see is a note from the driver saying failed pickup.

I called DHL but they didnt want to know. There is no phone number for DPD, so I sent an email via the 'contact us' link this morning. NO answer or phone call back so far. I have since tried to re-arrange the delivery via their website for this Friday. I have had a very basic email back saying
    YOUR ORDER HAS BEEN PROCESSED
YOUR FAILED COLLECTION HAS BEEN ARRANGED
Does this mean that the collection has been rearranged or they still need to approve it? If anyone has been through the same process before I'd be very grateful for any answers as there seems to be no way to get a response from DPD

  • Perils of using couriers from domestic addresses. Because you got a card it will just go down as sender not available oppose to a collection fail and that bad news is that will probably mean £6.95 down the drain, I'm afraid.
  • Can Any one help got a parcel to go To usa it weighs 4kg who should I use

    Any help would be great

    Thanks

One of the reasons I looked out the window every time I heard a van in the street
