If I got punched in the face I would expect so marks as proof but yes I see where your coming from.
Seeing as the ops wife is Indian and the driver remember a white women signing for it I can only assume they went to the wrong house.
Hopefully were get an update soon.
Or did you walk into a lamp post?:pHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
I've had couriers sign a thing themselves and leave an item in a wheelie bin, which I only noticed when I went to throw something in the bin. Lucky I did as the next day they would have got emptied! And once they securely left something under my car...
Go mental at them - they really take the p!ss sometimes.0 -
just an update dixons phoned today and said that they are not convinced by the drivers story, and they will be taking the matter further with DHL. he couldnt give me the full details but said he is happy with my side of things and therefoe is going to refund my in full, apologised for the trouble and the chasing up i have had to do.
so i did ask what was happening with the driver and what happened but they couldnt tell me.Listen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!0 -
Good news, as ever perseverance pays off.
In my experience so many things can be solved by talking to someone who can think for themselves opposed to reading out of a procedural textbook.0 -
Glad to hear dixons are being reasonable about it! I had the same problem with ebuyer, the driver claimed he delivered it to my house but the signature was completely different. They sent another out with no fuss.
Still wonder where the initial delivery went...and who is this Ricardo who signed for it? :think:We got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic.

An interesting scenario....sounds like the wrong address. The contact I have with a variety of couriers beit Home delivery, DHL, Parcel Force is that when my neighbours are at work and I happen to be at home, I sign on a computer pad with a plastic pen to sign for it, and the courier always leaves a card in the neighbours letter box telling them where the parcel is. I have reciprical arrangements with both my neighbours.
There is no reason why you should't make a report to the police as the Courier state the parcel was delivered against a signeture, from a white woman. Therefore if you have not received the parcel, then it is a theft. The Police have a duty under the Criminal Justice Act to investigate the crime with due dilligence. Yes the investigating officer would then make the enquiries with the courier obtain all documentary exhibits, and interview the driver under caution he he or she is a 'suspect'. The officer would liase with the courier's security department if they had one. They would even carry out house to house enquiries, check with N/watch if there is one in your street.
Once all avenues of enquiry have been carried outwhich may result in no offender being identified, then the case is brought to a close. means an undetected crime, but who knows Mrs Crotchet walking her dog just happens to be walking in the street when the courier is handing the parcel to a woman she knows and does the decent thing in telling the police on what she saw. Becuase the theft had been circulated on the N/Watch scheme.
I have had some very good results in my younger days, but retiring at the end of the year.

Er......yes there is.
How about Currys didn't delivery my package so there must have been a theft and now they have officer. Not really much for them to go on. OP can only provide hearsay evidence form DHL/Currys and it should be them who report the matter. What has the OP to report? Nothing has been stolen from them.
House to house and neighbourhood watch for that.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Good job your being put to grass at the end of the year.
OP glad to hear all has worked out for you.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Surely if you have purchased an item whether mail order or on line, and you are expecting it to be delivered in a couple of days by a private carrier and it does't arrive at your door, then having made the enqs with the retailer who provide you with the carrier and a delivery audit trail which states that the item as been delivered becuase they have a signed document at the time of delivery and from the enquiries that you have asked the carrier to make with their driver as I understand it handed it to a white woman against a signeture when in fact the only lady of the house is Indian then there are reasonable grounds to suspect an offence of theft. Agreed that the carrier will have a contract of employment in place and deal with it internally. The victim as an individual can still report the matter to the police as it may be that there are a number of victims that have had the same done to them. Hse to Hse and n/w would still be done but probably not in your Service area!0

So why is the OP a victim of theft?
What has he had dishonestly appropriated from him?
Nothing so therefore he is not a victim it's Currys who are!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
There's another issue here, stolt. DSG says the signature you sent in when you signed the forms they asked you to fill out matches the one DHL has for the signed for delivery. However, the DHL driver says the parcel was signed for by a white woman. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you're a bloke and your wife is indian. So, your signature can't possibly match the one DHL has, as the driver says a woman signed for it. Your indian wife couldn't have signed for it, as the DHL driver says the woman who signed for it was white. In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.
