ordered a wii console from currys and they sent me a email advising that it had been despatched via DHL. About a week and no sign i used the tracking nbr and did a track and trace and it was showing delivered with my surname and a swiggle as a signature!!
. emailed currys and they sent a form out for me the sign that i havent got it.
another week later and currys email to say the signature matches the signature on the DHL form, arrrgh i phoned currys and they said they will look into it. Got another email today to advise that they consider the matter closed as they have spoken to DHL and they ave advised it was delivered to the correct address. my wife and me were out with the kids (summer holidays) so i know we didnt sign for it, now i know DHL never just leave a parcel anywhere so assumed he the driver had delivered it to the wrong house. Trying to get hold of DHL is near on impossible.
Will the police do anything, i fancy phoning my credit card but once they get the delivery note there going to say the same as currys, but where does that leave me, if i go to the police do you think they will call the driver in for a interview so i can find out who signed for it.

Not sure if the police would be interested but worth a try. If you state to your credit card company that you haven't received it and Currys dispute it, it doesn't look good on you. DHL must have a record of where it was delivered and who by and i would pressure them first for an answer as well as contact curry's head office and make a complaint. No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!
Thanks to everyone who posts competitions. You are the stars of the board :T:j:T0 -
Try phoning DHL (again) ask to see what the drivers manifest says, and if possible get them to send you a copy.
Also may be worth phoning the depot which it was 'delivered' from. In the first post on the courier thread there is link which has all the numbers.0 -
thanks, yeah i was planning on giving them a call tomorrow, i madness currys dont believe me and whoever has signed for it as just got lucky because the signature on the delivery note is similar but not the same because its a sqiggle rather than my longer signature.
I know the credit card and not going to believe me and it seems so unfair. But I will try currys head office as i'm not happy and they should be taking me seriously and also helping me get to the bottom of it with dhl.Listen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!0 -
well it wouldnt be the first time a delivery driver has signed the forms himself and chucked the parcel in a wheelie bin / shed etc!
Happened to a mate of mine... he went barmy and got a new item delivered, then found the original parcel under his rabbit hutch!
Cheeky !!!!ers! Good luck0 -

Sounds just like the home delivery network.
I guess you can take it 2 ways really.
One is to go mental because someone else has signed for it and left it in a potentially unsafe place for someone else to take.
Or you could see it as in them doing you a favor as your at work during normal delivery hours and you local depot is miles away to go and collect not to mention finding the time to go down there and sort it.
I have a old coal store here so I'm more then happy for the courier peeps to sign for things themselves and put it in there.
Perhaps things would change if I ever had a problem but touch wood so far I'm doing ok.0 -
I hope the driver didnt leave it in the wheelie bin as the follwoign sunday it woudl ahve been collected. But he didnt leave any card sayign it had been dropped off. I've had Home delivery network leave a parcel at the back of the house but left a note to say he had done so.
my wife is normally home, the only reason we went out was because it was the summer holidays so we took the kids out for a day.
I have never know DHL to leave parcels or even sign the notes themselves. Going to phone DHL today and ask them to report the driver to the police as theft and then if they dont someone will, if he has left it somewhere and signed for it then I want to know where it is now (i hope it hasn't been sitting in bushes all this time)Listen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!0 -

Wow Sunday bin collections what a local council.
If he's done that then it's not a matter for the police as that isn't a crime.0 -

well i cant prove the driver did that either way because he has said he got it signed for at my address. What is a crime is that he has signed for the console or someone else has and taken the goods they havent paid for which is a crime in my book.
Dixons security team have phoned and have advised that they have arranged an interview with the driver tomorrow and they will take him off his round to go through the delivery and upto the house he delivred it to. he now states it was can distinctly remember a white woman that signed for it, strange that as my wife is indian!!! cant wait for that one tomorrow when she opens the door and the drivers face will be a picture.Listen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!0 -
