so where can i take it in the birmingham area in the west midlands???

any ideas????

MOT tests are carried out at the following workshops, Inverurie, Mintlaw and Stonehaven. Tests are by appointment only and the opening times are 0830hrs to 1600hrs Mon to Thu and 0830hrs to 1500hrs on Fri. There are no appointments at the weekend.

The workshops will only carry out MOT's on cars and light vans up to Transit size ( 3.5 tonnes ) and the charges are £27.00.

Regarding where to get it done, the first place to start is by ringing the local county council.

Went to this Nottingham one above yesterday. It passed and was ready when they said it was going to be. They also gave me a list of suggested jobs so I could get quotes. Cracking idea if you ask me.

Good thread. I've been using the coupons on the Nationwide Autocentre website to get £10 off the standard fee; but they have failed me on shocks, brakes and exhaust in recent years so maybe I'll try the council next time (car has only done 23K).
