I also got the last 2 bags of the white/pink mallows in my local ASDA but I'm going to use the white mallows for snowman soup and the pink mallows for fairy soup! My daughter doesn't like hot chocolate so I've bought pink ovaltine mix from instore (£1) it's like a milkshake powder so this will replace the chocolate, then add white chocolate buttons and finish with the pink mallows, instead of a candy cane I have a little pink wand that I will stick to the cellophane! Any pink mallows left over will be used for making my rocky road squares or to decorate white chocolate slabs!
Love the pink fairy idea :D

  • Little_miss_moneysaver i was going to make a tag and write this:

    Fairy Soup

Pink fairy powder, white Chocolate too
Just for fairies and girls like you
Add some milk and mix it through
Make a wish & hope it comes true

Just came up with that there and reading it back; it's not very Christmassy and sounds a bit daft, I'll get to work on another...

You also get banana ovaltine mix for little monkeys! Instead of marshmallows though you could add those foamy banana things?

If you were making the chocolate one for a boy I would call it something disgusting like chocolate sludge or chocolate mud - my son would've loved that when he was younger come to think of it might like it now...

    How about:

    Chocolate sludge

    Chocolate powder and buttons too
Add some mallows for extra goo
Add some milk and mix it through
A chocolate sludgey drink just for you

Or similar..never could write rhymes very well but you get the idea...

  • Bluestarrz - They're great!!! Was also thinking something a bit nasty for the chocolate one. Will have to play around later and get them onto tags. I'm awful at rhymes, but I love your ones so if you don't mind i'll use them.

Also while i'm here, how far in advance would you make them? I mean i know that milkshake powder can go hard. Also I keep forgetting it's only September!

There's just not enough hours in the day for all these things to make!

  • little_miss_moneysaver - I'll probably make them just before Christmas I'd be frightened they'd be ruined if I did it too early. It's so hard though because I'm desperate to start making things up just now but it's pointless because I'll just add things or take things away at the last minute - I know what I'm like. I have double door wardrobe full of things like random tins and containers and little extras just incase I need them...
