  • Hi,

Hollyandmatt : if you go to ebay and type in the search box cone bags there are about 4 pages of them on there .... also type in cellophane and you will get pages of it

moyilla : i sold the large snowman soup for £2 ( enough for 2 mugs )
and the smaller ones (enough for one cup ) for £1

total cost worked out at about 41p for the large and 31p for the small, as i bought all the hot chocolate, marsh mallows and choc chips from the cah and carry !

    Hi All,

I have just been reading through this thread and I am now getting excited about making some of my own as the ones you all made last year look fantastic. Hoping to make some to sell at the school xmas fair.

However, can anyone point me in the right direction of what size bags are best as searching on ebay and finding various options of medium/large/some without sizes and now not sure where to start.

    Thanks

Hi thought id post mine. a bit gutted as i bought cones from ebay and never got them she never replied to emails and i finnally won a dispute on 21st dec bit late to order more :(
Luckily my mum had bought a mahoosive role of cellophane as she makes cakes and uses it when they are finished,
so i borrowed her heat sealer and made my own cones.... these are a massive achievemnet for me as i am not a crafty person at all!

I put them in cups and wrapped them in cellophane as pressies for the teachers at my sons class! yes there are that many! i decided to get them normal cups and not xmas cups so theyu can use them all year :)

I know this post is from last xmas but just wanted to say how lovely these look! I'm very new to all this, in fact only just stumbled through the door over here and am amazed and very jealous at everyone's abilities to make such lovely things! Is there a thread anywhere that talks through the instructions on how to make these, I'm sure they are far harder to make look decent than they look :rotfl:

I just wanted to say I am sooooo not talented in the crafts lol but even I managed to make them look good. They are so nice & simple, trial & error from a few people helped us learn that using 2 cones, 1 to hold the hot choc & the other to hold the rest of the ingredients, worked better as it stopped the marshmallows mixing with the hot choc. just do the hot choc first, then pop the cone sealed at the top (I used the cheap elastics for hair) & add the rest of the ingredients to the top of the cone.
Give it a go, you might be pleasantly surprised.
    Hugs
