My [strike]skinflint[/strike] thrifty nature says to buy a value bar--think MrS does white choc--& chill really well. Use a grater or potato peeler to make 'bits' then bash with a wooden spoon to get 'chunks' that would take longer to dissolve in the hot choccie.

It doesn't work as well as it should in theory. I ruined one of my snowman soups due to doing this. I sat and grated a bar of galaxy but when you put the snowman soup in the second cone then add the grated chocky the smallest bits slip down inbetween the 2 cones and they look awful :(

Quick update on the Candy Cane price index :D

If you want canes in red white and green, then Morrisons have them £1.39 for 12 bogof - not as good as Wilkinsons red and white ones price-wise, but having seen them both, I think they're prettier and worth the extra 2p per cane

    :D

The Range also have them in red, white and green for £1.50 for 12, bogof (just over 6p each), if that's any easier to get to.
