Well Done on getting Debt Free, I bet you are so happy!! :j

As for Cheap Present Ideas Look out for all the offeres like the 3 for 2 etc in boots that will make your money go a bit further. Asda have offers on at the moment on the £10 gifts you can buy 2 for £16, £5 gifts you get 2 for £8 they have kids, mens and womens gift sets all included.

And heres a link I found a while ago with 101 gift basket (Hamper) Ideas, just about covers everyones taste:

Where's the Coffee?? Show me the Coffee NOW!!
  • I'm not a big one for making presents but we have done the £10 budget limit approach for a few years now with friends. Things I get for this quite often are:
CDs at good prices from Amazon, Asda etc (that you know people will like)
Nice bottle of wine and maybe a small but nice chocolate bar to go with
3 for 2 gifts from Boots including nice boxes of chocs (they often have Green and Blacks on offer), make up mirrors (always useful to have another one, I find I like to have one in different handbags rather than swapping everything over), really nice lip gloss or make up item as a treat for female friends/relatives (this works well if it's something they wouldn't buy for themselves)
Gift vouchers like cinema passes, theatre tickets, or for specific shops - you can buy coloured envelopes for these cheaply and tie ribbon round to make them look more interesting
Photos of you/your family in a nice frame (Boots again)
Books - Asda, Tesco, Amazon all good on prices
Toasties, slippers or nice soft socks
Hat and glove sets - Asda etc often do nice ones cheaply
Nice tea/coffee/hot chocolate selections - Whittards near me *always* have stuff on sale

    HTH!

I like stuff from here - it's cheap but looks expensive. Comes without the necklace bit but in a posh looking little box. :)

Many many thanks for this. I saw some recently at a posh craft fair and wanted one for my daughter but they were over twenty pounds, just can`t believe they are so cheap on ebay and have put bids on two. Wish me luck

Next year, start earlier. I bought tons of great stuff in Boots 75% off sale which they have in January - which means your £10 presents only cost £2.50!!! Also, visit the freeby board. You can amass some brilliant gifts absolutely free of charge (and they dont look free or cheap either). This year so far I have enough toiletries and make up samples (most full size) to fill a couple of baskets. 2 Fluffy towelling dressing gowns, slippers and towels, (Nescafe beans) several books, Wine, Chocolates, Coffee etc
I have more fun grabbing freebies than I do shopping - its very addictive!! Good Luck
