Hello everyone,
Me and my OH have just got out of our debt, you will all be please to know! Im thrilled about that, but he now has to go and have a couple of operations, one on each shoulder in the next few months, so need to save! And in order to save and not get back into debt, we have decided to budget christmas presents for our family to £10 pp. (my mums idea initially, bless her!)
I absolutely love christmas and have been looking forward to it this year since August! I am looking forward to it more this year though i think because i know we dont have to worry on what to get people, coz £10 wont stretch that far to stress over it, and will enjoy the occasion more instead! :T
So, i am looking for present ideas on what we could get for £10??? Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
natc

Definitely check out the hamper thread and the Boots thread as people have made some beautiful gifts using cheap hampers from Ikea etc, Boots glitches (I made a gift using a £1 shower cap and 4 different Umberto Gianni hair products that were 9p each with a Boots Advantage Card voucher!)
Look out for things on grabitnow.com as there are always great daily deals that include delivery - you can sign up to get their daily emails.
Winter warmer packs - a mug from Ikea, few sachets of hot choc, mini whisk (25p-50p in Wilkinsons), cosy socks (£1 in Primark and other similar places), perhaps a book if you have any money left over (can get loads for £3 in Tesco)
Hope that's given you a few ideas!My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

Ohhhh you could do loads with £10 per head, sure you could do great pressies for less than that!
Few ideas...
Car wash bucket - fill a bucket with car shampoo, couple sponges, air freshner, tin sweets and wrap in cellophane.
This is a cool idea - http://www.thelittlechristmastreecompany.co.uk/ordernow.htm
For any eco people you know... http://www.thegoodbagco.com/shop/
The Book People offer great books at massively reduced prices. You can often get sets of books that you can split between people. http://www.thebookpeople.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/TopCategoriesDisplay?storeId=10001&catalogId=10001&langId=100
Things to make...
No sew fleece blankets - http://heartsandtrees.blogspot.com/2007/12/no-sew-fleece-blankets.html. You can get fleeces from Ikea for about £2.50 each so £5 to make the present.

Have you thought about doing Secret Santa instead?? If all your family will do it too it's a great idea - you all buy one decent gift (maybe £40 - £50) and each of you then pick out one gift on Xmas day.
It's a good way of getting a good gift, not having to think of lots of gifts and it's nice to get a surprise on the day_____________________________________________party_ Handmade Christmas and Occassions 2011 _party_OS Moneysaving as much as I canGonna live 'The Good Life' - grow my own and 4 hens

I can't believe the bargains my sister and I have got off Car Boot sales over the last couple of months. Although there are always stores selling the usual tat I have found many items- toys etc brand new that are being sold really cheap.
Brand new Lord of the Rings Chess Set £3.00 (looks really expensive)
Brand new Spiderman water shooter £2.00 (seen them for £14.99)
Brand new QVC card crafting set in lovely storage box £6.00 (similar £29.99 on QCV)
Loads of brand new jigsaws, games etc for approx £1.00
I look out for sellers who look like they are doing it as a one off and have decent stuff on their store, don't go near any tatty ones selling obvious rubbish.Money SPENDING Expert0 -
Have you tried bargain stores like b+m's or home bargains ive had some briliant toys for little money, like dressing up sets in boxes for £5, q20 ball for £3.99(£8.99 argos), Monopoly here and now £10(£24.00 argos). Or they sell stuff cheap for making the hampers....0
