No hangover for me tonight either - someone has to stay sober to make sure all the oldies make it back to their flats in one piece.
A couple of New Years ago we had a pyjama party - which was brilliant thinking on my part as i spent the early hours putting quite a few oldies to bed after they over celebrated, at least i didn't have to undress them:rotfl:0 -
Thanks for the support everyone, its much appreciated.
(((HUGS))) to anyone who needs/wants one and a big HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone, hope its a good one, and see you on the new thead!

I'm ringing in the end of the year as follows:Budget £3,000. Spent = £2025.46  . Left = £974.54.
What I think made it possible was not having work for the last 3 months and physically not being able to spend much money :rotfl: .I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy0 -
Totals for 2008:
Original Budget: £4000.00
Spent: £3284.32
which means I have £715.68 to spare :j:TBe who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

It ain't over until the last bell rings out at midnight...
so I had to insist on getting just one more item ticked off my 2008 list!
My quail run is now in place and just needs the grass to grow through the ground wire, which was essential to help prevent Mr Weasel from getting in there. This is it, my final piccie of 2008 - the extremely frivolous, extravagant, 'got it in the sales', got cashback, had a voucher, it was free delivery, gift to myself using savings accrued during this challenge.
I just hope the bull doesn't decide to jump the fence one day and land on the new 'sheltered housing complex for small game birds'! :rotfl:It looks tiny in the picture! The run's actually 2m x 1m and I'm hoping to have at least half a dozen mini egg producers in there. I just hope they aren't too bird-brained to realise they need to climb up the ramp at bed time. :rotfl:Apart from the garden fun, tomorrow's soup is all prepared for slow cooker, the beef joint is ready to go into the oven and I've defrosted some chilli for tonigh. No doubt I'll be back on here before the day is done but to everyone who won't be, have a very happy new year and I'll see you on the new thread. :beer:I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

Argh!! Just typed a big thread and it disappeared
I'll keep it short this time...
Happy New Year to everyone, hope you all had a great christmas, and for those who have had a difficult time recently that it wasn't too painful.
We're staying in tonight, mainly due to having to get a babysitter and also a taxi back home from town would cost a small fortune (£15-£20 on a 'normal' night). We're having a 'last supper' of chinese takeaway and cava before the big challenge starts tomorrow. I'm so not mentally prepared
On a good note I managed to reach my savings goal this year, albeit by topping it up with the remaining £70 odd yesterday :T .
I'll see you all in the new year, for those lucky enough to be going out tonight have loads of fun, but be careful and don't forget to drink lots of water before you go to bed to minimise the hangover:rotfl:

My DH would only have branded food, so I bought some Tesco Value and fed it to him for a week - he could not tell a difference. I then told him what he had been eating and showed him the money we'd saved. It's value all the time nowMAY THE ODDS BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOUR0
