I always top up the PAYG ones at the cashpoint, but from what SM said the other day it sounds like B00ts is a good bet.
Not sure if Mr T give points on this as well? Would be good if they do, as B00ts is a special effort for me
Mr T also gives points if you top up at checkout:D0 -

Arrrrrgh! I hate BT!
Just checked the bank my Direct Debits go out of (watching for something to go in before I phone DWP to chase up), and BT have taken the DD that doesn't normally go until 1st/2nd of the month.
I was lucky that I had money in there to cover it (only 'cos I put enough in at the start of December to cover life insurance premiums in case they didn't get stopped by the companies), but I'm now in a quandry as to whether to include it as a deduction from my 2009 budget or not
As it's (hopefully) my last one from them I've budget for it to come out of my 'anything else', which is the category I'm going to struggle with most so ignoring it as it's been paid in 2008 would be a distinct advantage -- but it is officially a 2009 bill even though it been called a day earlier than normal, so I suppose I should class it as my first 2009 'spend'Cheryl0 -
My BT DD has gone up from £12 -£26 without any warning:mad: "You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

The last day and I haven't decided on my budget yet - what to include, what not. My DH is great but does not do money the same as me. I save on the little things so I can buy something extra in the future, he says why cut pennies here and there, might as well buy branded stuff and keep the heating at 21 C. So I think I may set it as a personal challenge on the things I have control over but I can't think what that would include.
SM - good luck with the chickens. I was bought a chicken house 7 years ago. It sits empty in the garden waiting for the wire netting housing as there are too many foxes to let them free range. I have enough netting, posts, electric fence to make a 20' x 15' run but alas it sits in the shed. I have suggested doing it myself but DH says he will do it one day - but I dont know which day. At one stage I even ordered one with a run because I was so fed up with mine not getting done but it caused so much friction that I cancelled.
Warning about BT - My DD goes out on 6th of every month. I got an email to say it had not been collected and to click on the link and re-enter bank details. I checked on line banking and it had been taken 10 days before so I rang them and they confirmed it's a scam - so please be careful.

My DD might make the odd post for me0 -
cw18 Martin's last newsletter did say that DD's would probably be taken early.0
-
looby-loo I have the answer to that since my DH used to be the same. Start the job yourself. Mine could not resist taking over.0

BT are the only one to have taken early though -- I normally have 4 different DDs go out on the 1st of a monthCheryl0 -
for some reason I only seem to get a newsletter about every 3 weeks -- and that's having registered 4 different email addresses !! Most have worked for the first couple of newsletters, and then they've stopped arriving -- something I only realise when people mention something that's in it
Have you checked your online message box - it's possible that their spam filter is blocking them. What you need to do is mark the e-mail as 'not spam' or add it to a green list on the online mail box. I also believe that you can add the address the e-mail comes from to your address book instead but over here I've found that it doesn't stop my ISP blocking them.

I'd expect that it's still being sent cw, probably being caught by a spam filter. Might be worth adding the MartinsMoneyTips@moneysavingexpert.com email address to your 'safe list'?
edit: too slow haha! dND beat me to it0
