Hi Nyk
They just let you escape for the weekend here if they consider you well enough :T ...gives the nurses more time to spend on those that need it too;)
I just need more tests, I have had a problem with my head for the last 7 years or so... they have tracked down that when I was born I have too much bone in my skull -so The gap where the bottom of the brain sits, and the spinal cord goes down -I don't have enough room -so the pressure builds up in my spinal fluid and around my brain..there is talk of removing some of the bone  ..still if im going to have it done I would rather have it done here-its one of the best hospitals in Germany..and they are soooooooo clean -cleaners in every day ..... I just have to sit down and discuss the improvment in my quality of life against the risks of surgery ... I will be thinking long and hard about it im sure
I have spent the week in a private room with TV and en suite wet room.. :jthe cleaners even change the shower curtain every day  ..soooo clean its amazing...
Any way thats probably far too much information :rotfl:..I WILL be in the new challenge regardless..oohhh I will have to have a look at you blog -and if you have any idea how to put a table into a blog -please let me know..I can't figure it
..my blog has only been going a few days -but im trying to get the basics in place -then when the new season starts I will post step by step with photos -or try to:D
right Im off for a look at your blog :T-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -

Happy birthday SlowlyFading:beer:
Finally managed to get my roof fixed today - only cost £40:T. Roofer will be coming back in a week or two to do a second job on our flat roof garage which is letting in a tiny amount of damp. Will cost more (£120) but I am pleased to have found the problem. I though that the wall being a bit extra cold/damp was more to do with the lower heating (and therefore condensation) this year and had put it back up. So overall it will hopefully recoup the money in lower heating bills next year.
I am getting unreasonably excited about this challenge for next year. Can't wait to get started!! Nice to see so many other new faces joining in too.
Hugs to anyone in need of one0 -

TTDB.x.
Hi TTDB, I couldn't find any cashback for Tak€abr€ak, but you can open your account with £10, play the free scratchcard for a couple of days and then withdraw the £10 leaving the scratchcard winnings. I think it's OK as long as you have a cash balance, even if it's just 10p. Guaranteed a win everyday and I could do with a few more sites like it.I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

dND - Alas, I don't have any alpacas YET. I will have some, when I can afford a smallholding - I think they are great
There is an alpaca farm near where I live though, so I get to see them quite often. I am jealous of you!
We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
Nice to see you again MRSMCAWBER.
Happy birthday slowlyfading :j
Nyk that is hardly a forest...a little journalistic exaggeration :rotfl:
Oh my, it's cold  The ice is inches thick on the road so I glided down the hills and prayed on the way back up. Still have no log burner and no heating upstairs. This is life au naturel.
If the electric blanket packs in I will be going into hibernation. I could always hide in the CO-op toilets after closing time and have a nice warm night0 -

purplevamp that tree is brilliant. you can't just post a piccie though. you'll have to tell us how to do it so we can have a go too.
janey congrats on your 1000th post. Hope you manage to get that heating sorted soon, as it is bitter isn't it. And i am sure it is a lot colder where you are than here.
I've not had the cheapest of days. We woke up and it was frost free and sunny, so i suggested taking the boys to a local theme park type place for small kiddies. It was £25 for all of us to get in, including a visit to santa and a pressie. We spent about £8 on hot food at lunchtime. I did other things that were frugal today though, so i am not knocking a bit of spontaneous activity in my life as it was fun and that is what life should be about really.- I filled the car up with petrol and used a 5p off per litre voucher. I can't actually remember the last time i filled the car up, but i think it was in October. I muct check.
- I got the food shopping, and although i wanted to buy lots, kept telling myself i could make it
- we were given a free bag for life at Mr M
- I managed to pick up some of the free black buckets at Mr M for summer gardening
- I got soup in the SC before we went out so we had hot food ready to eat as we walked in - if we hadn't then we definitely would have got a takeaway tonight as we were tired and freezing
- although we bought hot food, we took drinks and snacks with us, so it could have been pricier
I'm another one who absolutely cannot wait for the new thread to start. Nyk could i put in a request that you link to the new thread from this one, as i am a person who mostly just goes to my bookmarked threads and i don't want to miss it. I usually only deviate when i spot something in someone elses signature.
Night all, tomorrow is supposed to be nice again here (if 4 degrees can be nice) so probably a bit of gardening and perhaps visiting my parents for us. No money spending.
