:heart2: to everyone today. Thinking of each of you as you go about your business today. (I'm fine but in a 'thinking' mood at the moment so no chitchat).:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. hello again,
I took a break from the site for a couple of days, and I feel much better. I hope everyone else is okay, and I'll catch up on the thread in a bit.

Right, that's it. I've made them an offer on the house they can't possibly refuse, and one which would have everyone on the house price board shouting at me for paying that much. :rotfl: Still, if I get all their furniture and all the appliances then I think I'm getting a good deal, even if I do have to pay their asking price. Most places I've viewed I'd have paid them to take their furniture away, but this one is full of nice new stuff - they'll even leave the TV!
I really hope thay don't make me wait until Monday for their answer. :rolleyes:Live on £11k in 20110 -
Good Evening frunchkins:D
it is very quiet on here today, hope everyone is okay?
Thank goodness it is the weekend, been busy this week at work. Just cooked tea for oldies so ate for free, it was lancashire hot pot and veggies, made a huuuge amount so I could turn half into trays of pie for next Friday night ( just added some cooked carrot and swede, and pastry tops) will save me a job then -as after tea the youth club are coming for another party - oldies will join in with the jellies, cakes, ice creams etc as their dessert.;)
Spent £12.99 today at the post office needed to post some gifts so budget adjusted accordingly. Glad we are getting to end of year it is starting to look quite a small amount., after paying my car insurance until 30 dec 2009:rolleyes:.0 -
Hi Everyone,
Well, I have the mobile phone sat next to me, I'm willing it to ring again. The guy that interviewed me on Monday called at 7.30 but I was driving and my mum took a message. She said I would call him in 10 minutes. I've called him back about a dozen times since then and it is going onto voicemail, so I have sent a text to him. I remember that he said that his phone was dodgy, so now I am paranoid that he does not get my message or text. I wonder if I have got it or if he is just doing courtesy call type things. I want to know!!!  :mad:0 -
C'mon SL and Lynda.. the suspense is killing me
hope it's good news for you both x

Good evening!!
Lynda, your new house sounds very exciting. All the good luck with your offer!!!!
Lynne, same for you re your job!!!
Sophiesmum - You are so so lovely!!!!!!!!!
SF: Hope you are ok!
Everybody else - HELLO!!!!!!
So, the car passed the MOT after I got two new tyres for it. I am thinking of getting a full service done in the summer so might need to replace the other two then. (Mental note to add it into my budget.)
I was supposed to do more college work today as I have another assignment due on Monday but I have been sleeping. I have to say that I haven't felt this rested for ages so I need to try to finish my college work over the weekend while DD is climbing all over me, so hopefully there will be good children's films on TV over the weekend.
I am going to have breakfast for supper. I have: eggs, mushsrooms, sausages, baked beans and fresh poppy bloomer, mmmmm - off to cook and eat as I am starving. For tomorrow I have left over chicken that will be turned into curry with the aid of a ready made curry sauce (very cheap from the pound shop).
I still keep getting emails of new profiles from one dating site and today I found someone that might be nice so I had to set my profile again to be able to contact him. It will take two days for my profile to go live. I might change my mind before that happens. (He likes animals, cooking and countryside!!!)
Ok 20 minutes till Celeb so time to get my breakfast going.
Have a great evening and weekend everybody!

Fingers crossed SL, but better to know either way than be in suspense:eek:
I am now on my lonesome here:j :j Oh has gone to work and DD has just left in a taxi for a night out with friends as it is her birthday tomorrow but they are celebrating tonight. So place to myself to do whatever I like.
Think I might mke some chocolate slabs and marzipan bits for OH and DD for extra stocking fillers. Have to check stores and see what I might need- a quick visit to asda may be needed for some choc, but will use my asda grocery card so not from budget:D
I blame whitewing for putting the idea in my head:rotfl: been thinking about marzipan treats all day:rolleyes:
will post some pics if they come out okay:D0 -
still no call back, maybe he has gone to the pub:mad: . Actually, he might think that I am a mad stalker with no teeth and he has ran away:rotfl: :rotfl:
I would have been fine if I didn't get the missed phone call, now I have ants in my pants!!!:p
Now, onto other matters, sophiesmum, I have tried a biscuit type thing called rocky road, and I think it would be good choc slab material. They sell these in gerggs.
It has chocolate, wee biscuity things, fudge mini marshmallows all mixed in together. it is rather nice, have you made this before?
I am good at making tablet, but I fancy trying with other sweets, I have a 1970's recipie book that my MIL gave me, that's where the tablet recipie came from and there are others in there as well. I'll need to go and check it out and see what there is in it.
I feel shattered now, I've to phone DH in half an hour, he has just texted my phone and I thought it was the job guy:mad:0 -
Keeping everything crossed for you, Lynda, and well done on securing alternative accommodation and for reaching your savings goal, that's brilliant news! :T
Everything crossed for you, too, SL - someone needs to here good news soon!
I spent most of the day in the garden, only stopping for coffee with friend when she arrived and then for lunch. She brought me some really nice bird feeders shaped like bells, filled with fat & seeds and covered with maple leaves, most unusual and very pretty, so I have them hanging up outside already.
My lovely next door neighbours have given us a sack of huge logs for the fire, so that's the first of them burning now. I have about 3 bags of kindling all chopped up ready for using plus 2 huge boxes of sticks that we brought with us. I'll probably need to buy some seasoned logs to see us through the winter but it'll depend on costs, when compared to turning up the electric storage heaters, how much extra fuel we buy. It may be less eco-friendly to turn up the heaters but if it's less expensive, then so be it - money talks.I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.
