Small complaint, but fantastic customer services at Thorntons, so thought I'd share. (Didn't post earlier until all resolved).

I ordered 9 boxes of large classic chocs. The boxes that these are packed into is intended for 5 boxes but as one of mine had 4, there was a gap and no packing had been put in the extra space. Silly really as these are packed to be on their sides. So, these boxes arrived a little bashed, the chocs were out of their holes & the little plastic seal was burst on 3 sides. Not actually that bad, but as they are for christmas pressies, I called Thorntons who arranged for 4 new boxes to be sent today. I asked if I'd give the others to the courier and she said no, they wouldn't take them. She said as they're damaged, I should eat them! (hence the testing them out post) :rotfl:

So I've ended up with 13 boxes at half price, with 15% off and quidco cashback, as my replacement 4 boxes arrived today. Now that is serious money saving. Thanks again to the OP and especially Thorntons. This is the 2nd time I've ordered from them and I'm more than impressed!

quidco cashback is only 8% now instead of 10% and my cashback has gone down from £3.08 to £2.08 which I think is a bit cheeky of them considering that it was 10% cashback at the time of ordering. If they want to change the amount I think the old amount ought to apply to already that are already tracked and being delivered :mad:

The offer is still running, so it doesn't seem to be 'one week only'. They have changed it so you MUST use gold delivery but if you use a free delivery code you just pay the extra £2 for the gold delivery. I've just made a second order, expecting the quidco to cover the postage charge though so that's chocs at half price. Instore they will be having various offers - at the moment it's a large box of mint chocs half price at £6.99.

Mine still haven't been delivered. I ordered last Thursday. Will have to give the a ring tomorrow to see where they have got to.
