halifax offer *UPDATE*

Hi could you please move if ive posted in wrong bit.

Just received offer from Halifax for my cc charges they say that even tho they dont agree with the oft statement they have reduced fees blah blah

They have offered this as gesture of goodwill and its the difference between the £25 and £12 but they will not consider refunding the interest they want me to sign a full an final settlement form an they will credit my account

Can i ring and ask for interest or do i just have to sign form.

there offer is 520
my claim was 1320

sorry if this has been asked before but ive never claimed fees back i got ppi back but it was done differently

Thanks for any help

  • Thats ok. I looked through here and didnt really find much on Halifax claims so decided to update the my thread as much as possible so others could watch the process. Definatly stand your ground. Idid have to ring back after declining the pffer and was told that noone had logged that I had declined on the computer. So I would just confirm that they have noted it on your 'case files'.

Good luck and hope you have a good an outcome as me!!

  • Just thinking when i do get my fees back (fingers crossed) can they insist i pay it off my loan i have with them? This is what they done with my ppi paid it off my loan. If they do decide that this is whats going to happen can i use the financial hardship route?

Thanks for reading just thinking out loud really lol any help would be great

  • Hmmm... I really wouldnt know. I knwo they use the funds to pay off credit cards. So I would only assume that seen as its still monies owed to the same account they would probably take it as well.
not sure really but didnt want you thinking id ignored you
