Sally - I am with the others, my niece has loads of PP that were given to her and she says she loves them but I have never seen her touch them, she REALLY loves the independence of her own play house though. You could always keep an eye out on freecycle for a few PP bits if you really feel guilty although quite frankly most kids toys are just cheap plastic crap (is it bad to admit that I get as much fun, if not more, from my niece's Girl's World head than she does??)

Thanks poor, I think I will stick with my original plan! There are some bargain ones out there at the moment and might even have to take up woodwork :rotfl: to build some stuff to go in it!

should be ok by the time I go, it's clearing nicely now.

It's cheese and potato topped fish pie today. The mayo literally takes 2 minutes - basically chuck in a jug and blitz with a hand blender so i'm hoping we have time to tag it on the end.

I'm still struggling in my head where to stand to demonstrate as it's a school room and so the teacher normally just 'instructs' rather than demonstrates but I've realised that the reason where I was standing last week didn't work because I am left handed and was standing on a cooker on the 'wrong side' to be able to stir etc and talk to the group whilst facing them. So I'm trying a different cooker tonight - hopefully one with working gas!!

I'm starting to feel realllllllllllllllllly tired again......3.5 hours since I took the last Day Nurse......I'll see if I can hang on for an hour so it is effective whilst I'm there.

Good Luck tonight BB, you will be great I am sure!

Well, for me personally it would save spending £30 on a bag for a specific occasion and then never use it again... For the same £30 you'd get an amazing bag, make those around you jealous and have less of a guilt trip every time you open the cupboard to see the beautiful bag languishing in a layer of dust...

The theory is sound but never happens - I couldn't sell on one of my babies!!! I'm the same with shoes... And watches...

Ok Advice needed...does anyone who has little girl/s have any polly pocket?? Pester power today has kicked in after being stuck inside all day long and DD has requested PP for chrsitmas. Now I have NEVER bought any plastic toys for her (mean mummy) as I just find they break, clutter up the place, fall apart and generally are pink and tacky (intended I know) so are they worth spending the money on or shall I ignore her and buy what I want to get which is a 2nd hand playhouse for the garden :)

Erin never played in her playhouse... waste of money for us... unfortunately...
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....

I loved my playhouse - my sadly departed granddad built it for me and I spent many happy hours in their making up games - it was as shop, a home, a library, a castle tower, a stables, a garage....

I'd definitely go with that over a plastic toy that will gather dust in 6 months time...
