This weeks MACAW (Make a Change a Week challenge... ) Basically you choose one thing you would like to change about your lifestyle, your habits or whatever you fancy and incorporate it into a new way of life.. anything from cooking one meal a week from scratch, learning a new skill, shining your sink every day, reducing your alcohol consumption, doing some exercise.. whatever you fancy! This is only for those who WANT to participate and being run alongside flylady rather than being part of it.

Off to wake Chloe up now to see if I can get her to wee on the potty. Also off to try and find out whats up with IA. I am worried about her.....

Morning Sammy. And all who follow...

Another early one for me this morning. Dishwasher unloaded, breakfast had and dishes washed, washing hung to dry, another load on... I'll be ready to sleep again by about 11 but as I'm at work today not an option so could be relying on tea and biscuits rather heavily.

Did I miss much over the long weekend? What's up with I_A?

  • Good morning!
I'm another one not feeling completely up to par today. Sinuses I think. So I'm going to get out an d about a bit this morning to get some fresh air. Few errands to run so should keep me busy.
You had to mention the "Christmas" word didn't you!? I actually bought cards at the weekend and some presents for little one - Boots have their mix and match thing on again so made the most of it.
Good luck with the potty - I tried my little one the other week and he acted like I was trying to kill him

Hi Miss Piggy, how old is your litte one, mine is nearly 3!

She knows exactly what she is doing, she told me last night she isn't going to do a poo until I put a nappy on her!

i'm new to dfw - lurked for a while but never committed - took the step last night and then had the worst night sleep for a LONG time. i think it's because i've joined the £10 a day challenge though i've only put myself down for £5 being a newbie to this and already i'm stressing about where that money's going to come from. stupid i know but worrying about money seems to come naturally somehow:confused:

i have taken a small step towards making some - listed some books on amazon and when i get in tonight i'll have a look at some of martins tips - don't want to do anything to time consuming, we both already work full time and the kids don't see enough of us as it is:o

    have a good day everyone;)

don't stress gtx a pledge is just a pledge - you won't die if you don't achieve your daily target and some days will be better than others.....

  • Sammy115, my little one is nearly three too! He turns three at end of december. Although I think he's almost ready for a potty, don't think he's quite there yet. He's a bit slow at talking so can't really communicate yet that he needs the loo! I'm DREADING potty training lol!!

GTX, don't panic over pledges. They are a guideline more than anything, a way of helping us to save / make money. If you don't manage it then it does NOT mean you have failed. Just do what you can! I try and follow as many of the ideas on here as possible. Some I manage, some I don't.

thanks - i know the pressure coming from myself, noone else.

my little one is 13 but potty training him was a nightmare - if he was naked he'd use the potty if he had pants on he filled them! then when he was 3yrs 3wks it was like somone switched a light on it just clicked for him and he never looked back - my advice would be don't push the issue they all get the hang of it eventually;)

  • Sammy and MP - the trick I founde to potty training is to NOT stress, with my eldest I stressed so much and we started and stopped, nightmare, with littlest I just let her decide and I am not joking she literraly took her nappy on off and went dry day and night, I just let her decide.
