Now be sensible girls...I only ask because there is a condition in pregnancy that you must be careful of. Can't remember what it is but one of the symptoms is itching.....usually all over...

  • Gosh I remember the itchy nipples. I wore the tightest vests I could find under all my clothes for months to try and stop it driving me quite so crazy. If they're sore get some Lansinoh, very good for after the birth too when you've been feeding for FIVE HOURS STRAIGHT with no sign of respite.

Working from home is proving to be quite productive.

Thanks for your lovely message Maz :grouphug: I do often get told I am spoiling Elliot or that I need to be tougher with him but I just want him to have a kind of security and happiness that I didn't. My mum tried hard I know she did but you always want better for your own kids don't you?

Well I'd better finish what I'm doing, got to leave for the office in an hour and I need to iron some trousers

I think it's some thing to do with the liver
    • Obstetric cholestasis is a liver disorder which occurs during pregnancy.
    • The main symptom is itching (pruritus) without a skin rash.
    • In England about one in 160 women (or less than 1%) are affected with obstetric cholestasis.
    • The causes of obstetric cholestasis are not yet fully understood.
    • Treatment can relieve the itching.
    • There is uncertainty about how this disorder may affect your baby.
    • There may be an increased risk of stillbirth.
    • If you have obstetric cholestasis, you are more likely to have a premature birth, either because you are induced, or because labour starts prematurely.
    • Other liver problems need to be ruled out to make a diagnosis of obstetric cholestasis.
    • Obstetric cholestasis gets better after your baby is born.
    • Your healthcare professionals should help you in making decisions.

I've had some shooting pains too which I have been assured is the 'plumbing' settling in so I assume its related to that. It's actually quite similar to the itch you get under the scab when a cut is healing...

Poor Len would be having a field day if he was in on this conversation:rotfl:

Nah - I'm not worried in the slightest about it. Every test that's been done has come back clean as the proverbial whistle.

I'm just highly amused by this little side effect my body has decided to chuck at me:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: So is hubbles:rotfl:
