On a slightly different note before I work myself into a bag frenzy and explode...

anyone know how to get rid of dry flaky legs (before someone says it: I am not prepared to cut them off) I have tried exfoliating and moisturising but nowt seems to work for more than a couple of hours.

Have you recently started using a new detergent? Might be a reaction to that?

It could also just be down to the general drop in temperature and the fact that everywhere seems to think that one drop of rain means the heating should be turned on full blast.

Have you tried Oilatum? It really tackles dryness very well, in fact is designed for eczema (sp?) sufferers... E45 is another good one... If they don't work I would suggest talking to a doctor/pharmacist to make sure there's not something more going on internally.

  • I think it must be because I've nearly always worked in places where everyone is poor (NHS/local government), I've not been in the kind of environment where new bags etc are compared. The poshest place anyone at the hospital ever seemed to make it to in their lunch break was Wilkinsons! :rotfl:

More good suggestions, cheers my dear, I'll try the E45 (cheaper) and if that fails I will give the Oilatum a go

I'm public sector but am in the middle of the city so it is easier to get a Tiffany ring or Gucci bag than it is a bargain - grrr and I wonder why I am in this mess (although there is now a New Look near me which is a saving grace)

Ok Advice needed...does anyone who has little girl/s have any polly pocket?? Pester power today has kicked in after being stuck inside all day long and DD has requested PP for chrsitmas. Now I have NEVER bought any plastic toys for her (mean mummy) as I just find they break, clutter up the place, fall apart and generally are pink and tacky (intended I know) so are they worth spending the money on or shall I ignore her and buy what I want to get which is a 2nd hand playhouse for the garden :)

Working, as I do, in a professional firm, I'm surrounded by folk who wear watches that cost more than I earn in 3 months... And as a self confessed watch addict it is pretty hard not to be envious (in fact I'm so not turned on by the selection of eternity rings available I'm going to be getting my very own shiny new 'proper' watch instead:j like this one. I think its very appropriate to get a classic timepiece as an eternity gift;) )
