(I always go to the toilet before standing on the scales!)
What a silly thing to do, you'd never catch me doing that ;):oLove reading your posts - always plenty happening
Yes, and occasionally some of it is interesting
Well, lots of exciting news here......
Revlon sent me 2 replacement deodorants but no vouchers.
Car is 2 years old and is now in the garage for the 1st time, having moved the rest of my friend's boxes and hung DS's bike on wall :T. Will save me money on de-icer :rotfl:. It is a v tight fitwhich is probably not a good thing for those early morning starts. I reversed it in so may continue with that.
Am off to Ikea tomorrow or Tuesday to get DD some shelf units for her cupboard. Cheaper than buying brackets etc, anyway her walls will not support it. While I'm there will also pop into Snowzone to buy gift voucher on behalf of a fellow MSEer - the postage cost would have been nearly £6. Only a mile or so out of my way and have never actually been in one before so will have a little look.
One of the BTL's had not paid rent - went over there yesterday, poor girl was distraught, OH had been hitting her, in front of the kids, she's chucked him out & got police involved but he took her money, including keeping the Housing Benefit etc. Also took her phone & she couldn't find my number elsewhere. Poor girl. Don't suppose I'll see this month's rent, but no point getting too upset, what's done is done, if I ask her to leave I'll lose out while I get a new tenant anyway and she has looked after the place v well. Just a bit worried her OH will reappear & cause trouble. Also while I was there she told me about a damp patch upstairs so I need to sort that out quickly. Old house, so to be expected occasionally.
There seems to have been a lot of money chats between MFW's and partners recently, probably inspired by end of year approaching. OH and I had ours this morning. He has agreed to make up his shortfall by end of March, then match me. We shall see , but if he does we will meet target of mortgage no.1 gone by my 50th (:o) easily
We also had a chat about wills etc. Our finances are v complicated so we need to take advice on that, plus making wills, minimising inheritance tax etc. Best look into getting an appointment with a solicitor methinks .
Just drinking tea then need to clean kitchen  and dehair myself(weigh in tomorrow night :rotfl:). So, that'll be the weekend folks

Whoops, have been missing in action - v, v busy at work.
Just a quick update. Thanks to the kitchen I will will fail my 2010 challenge and am also behind on the MFiTII. However, as of today:
£40,479.42 Mortgage number 1
-£11,621.32 Offset
-£8,862.07 Other Earmarked Savings£19,995.43
Ok, so it will be back over 20k by the weekend, especially as I need to pay for doors which are being fitted Saturday. However, that's the 1st time there's been a 1 in front and come the end of the month it will be there for good (till it goes down below 10k)

Very similar to my figure i just did gally, although like you it will go up as we still need to pay for the kitchen, but hopefully we can not go up too much.
Here's to seeing it drop more in 2011. :beer:0 -
Well, am back over 20k, thanks to daily interest
New doors fitted & are lovely - and not paid for yet as I couldn't find quote and fitter couldn't remember exact amount. Maybe he won't email me till after 12th then my MFIT2 update won't be so bad

I'm sure you'll get back below 20k again soon- even if you don't meet your target you are doing really well. Imagine where you'd be if you weren't a MFW!
Our figures are really depressing as we are just starting out and the mortgage is huge! I just need to keep remembering that every little bit brings the MFD closer- even a few years knocked off will be a bonus!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -
ThanksJellie
. You are lucky you've got into being MF so early :T.
I posted on Jock Tight's thread earlier that when mortgage is paid it will be equivalent of a 44% increase in take home pay . In reality, all it will mean is I'll start OP'ing towards the BTL mortgages, but still, it's a nice thought. I am slightly disappointed that I won't get the satisfaction of physically paying the mortgage off as by 'paying it off' I mean have enough in savings & offset to pay it off. I can't physically pay it off as one of the BTL's mortgages is actually a 2nd mortgage on our house with the same mortgage co & that has to be paid off before or at the same time as main mortgage. What a disappointment. Am sure I'll get over it :rotfl:
Like many on here I am thinking of starting a new diary. 2010 has been a v good year for me and I'm finishing it in a good place. It seems a good time for a fresh start. Need to think about my aims for next year, 2 years, 3 years, 5 years and 10 years apart from just paying the mortgage off.
But first - the paper gremlins have returned and have had a riot in the study. Wish me luck - I'm going inA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

3 Easy Livings, 2 She, 3 What Investments & 1 Moneywise to read - 3 of the girlie ones will go to Gambia in Jan & I'll start on the money ones on the train tomorrow.
Am trying to think what I would like to achieve next year, as it all involves spending a lot of money I think I'll have a cuppa instead :rotfl:A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0
