    OK, weekend update.

Good: 8 mystery shops completed & input, €160 :D (dk why they pay in Euros but at current exchange rate it's working to my benefit ).

Good: Negotiating a good deal on a new car (using my newly honed skills acquired on above car mystery shops ;) ) - will make decision next weekend probably. My current car is fine but has done 125,000 in 5 yrs and little things are starting to go wrong - would sooner change when I WANT to rather than wait till it gets unreliable & I'm pressurised into it.

Good: Completed a £5 phone mystery shop, took 15 minutes including keying in :D .

Good (but not for bank balance :o ): 3 trips to Spain booked for next year, all over bank hols so max holiday for minimum leave. Unfortunately cost around £150 extra each (over the 3 trips) over going at non bank hol dates, however something had to give & in this instance I'd sooner it was money (which is very nonMFW  ). Every day's leave is precious :o .

Good: Sold 2 books on Green M for total of £6. Will pay postage using stamps acquired on mystery shops :D .

Good (unless you're FB ;) ): Have a posh do to go to with OH on Weds. 'Needed' shoes & bag & got both for £21.

Bad: OH's best mate in hospital, been v poorly, in ICU, but now on mend thank goodness

Bad: 'Pay off my mortgage using cash found on street' challenge is not going well. Found a total of €.01 and 18p. Need to cut spending instead :o .

Bad: Toaster fused twice which I'm sure is not serious. However, it tripped electricity & PC now appears to be cream crackered  . Starts to power up but doesn't even get to Windows screen. Needs to go to PC hospital. No, I didn't have a surge thingy on it :o . I will in future :o . Hopefully all data will be safe, I do have a memory stick with spreadsheets on it but that is a month old so may take quite some updating  .

Bad: Mortgages out tomorrow but can't update spreadsheets  .

Still, weekend has ended well. WELL DONE LEWIS :j  :T :D:) :kisses:_party_ :grinheart :kisses2: :grouphug: , crikey, that was close _pale_ . Oh, jumped up & down with excitement :D

Hope you've all had a good weekend.

Quite agree, take time to identify a few models that meet your needs, online resources to get prices and data, plus a few calls to get data on things like the taxation level for 2009 and 2010 (get the CO2 output data to be certain), and save fuel until you need to actually visit. Press them just before month end to get a good deal and make sure they know you've other options and are prepared to walkaway. Above all "enjoy it" :D

I would definitely ditch the toaster as there could be a short etc causing the problem. Far better than damaging other items due to trips etc.

Have to agree it was a thrilling finish but I'd rather he does so in future without leaving it to such knife-edge position :D

Good stuff! Well done you...even FB can't fail to be impressed with such a bargain!:D

You have been a busy bee, looks like you have everything in hand. Who do you do your mystery shops with? I've been having a look, but don't really know who's the best!

Aw Eva, I felt really sorry for Massa & his team...... but am happy to feel sorry for them rather than Lewis' team :D . Absolutely amazing though that all those races ended up being decided in last few corners  .

Forgot to mention earlier that I have some items on ebay, currently selling for £74 with 1 day to go. Hoping they will go for over £80. This is money for NY, but the sooner I raise the money I want for that (nearly there :D ) the sooner the extra money gets allocated back to mortgage funds :T .

    Shopgirl I have pm'd you ;)
