Hi doelani,
Fry some onion in a little oil. Remove from the heat and crumble in your stock cube. Add any juices you have from cooking the chicken and water leftover from steaming your veg to make the amount that you want and simmer until the stock cube is dissolved. To thicken it, mix a little cornflour with cold water and gradually add it to the gravy stirring continously until it's the consistency you want.

Have tried the recipe collections but can't find one for chicken pie, just the filling please. Anyone got a recipe not too sure whether it should be gravy or a white sauce? Thanks0
-
It can be either, depends on what you fancy, gravy is nice with a few peas and some tiny bits of carrot in, and white sauce is nice with small bits if brocoli and leek in.0

I can never get what I am looking for when I use the search facility, but today it worked for me lol http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1991321&highlight=chicken+pie+recipie
Short thread, tells you how to do the white sauce and using gravy too0 -
Whit sauce in the pie gravy over it is my prefered option.
I usually give the chicken a good coat in seasoned flour then fry it up just add milk or cream to the chicken enough to give it a good coating of thick sauce then ram the pie fas full as possible.0 -
Can someone do me a huge favour and provide a linky to a gorgeous OS chicken pie recipe for me pse!
