  • why can't you return it, if its unopened? I was thinking of returning the totom one that I got on Friday and getting the i3 instead. Surely its illegal for them to stop you returning it.
Happiness is wanting what you have, not having what you want.

    Primum non noce!

Has anyone else had fault problems with these?

I bought my first one end of October and took it back today due to it suddenly bleeping a lot and counting down to switch off.

Argos then gave me a replacement today which was faulty too, as it couldn't see the map and told me I needed to install it.

So they've now given me a third which seems OK for now. That's three of them in one day! Is that a record?

IIRC, they are only obliged to exchange/repair/refund goods if they are faulty or "not fit for purpose". Absolutely no legal pressure for anyone to refund stuff just because you don't like it!
  • Argos price for the Garmin i3 is now BACK UP to £179.99... Wish I'd bought it a few days ago :(

Anyone got any ideas if this is likely to be less than £159.99 anywhere else before Christmas? The prices for Sat Nav seems to be dropping like a stone at the moment.

I notice Currys, Comet and Dixons are all doing it for £159.99 at the moment (Comet and Dixons is an on-line price), any vouchers around for these stores or anything like that?

Somebody mentioned that woolworths are going to reduce thier stuff to lowest on the high street next week so you could see what they come up with. I ordered a tomtom one from pc world yesterday though but they are all bound to go down after Christmas quite a lot I suppose
    Thanx

The Garmin i3 is £159.00 'web exclusive price" in Halfords at the mo, along with the Navman iCN320.
It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.

I am thinking of getting this for my father in law... big man, taxi driver!
(he wears glasses when watching TV) ... not sure about driving.

Q1. Will the screen size be ok for him?

Q2. Is the scroll VERY easy to use?
Not sure if touch screen would be better for him ... but then it would need to be a bigger screen...

Q3. Do you need to buy the Garmin GA27C Antenna as well??
