Garmin Streetpilot i3 £164.99

Update Note 30 November 2005: A MoneySaver below has spotted Argos is now selling these at £159.99. Link to Argos

Now this got me excited the Garmin Street Pilot i3 Sat Nav system was the top pick in the Great Sat Nav Hunt a few months ago when it was £199 in Maplin (more costly elsewhere).

So much so I bought one for my little Smart car and its fantastic. Now Somerfield/Kwiksave has it on sale for £165, that's a cracking price.

What's the deal?

Garmin Streetpilot i3 Satellite Navigation system £164.99

Where?

Larger stores of Somerfield and Kwiksave

When?

These are at this price from 30 November until 13 December but the offer is available while stocks last. As often happens with this type of deal stocks run out very quickly so I'd get there quickly if you want to grab one.

Just to save Martin some further typing - also seems to be available from Comet, Currys, Dixons for only £5 more (£169.99) if not available at your local Somerfield, or £175 if you want to pay £5 extra at PC World - I'm sure they will price match Currys :-)

They usually have a long list of exclusions for their 10% days and I'd be sure this product would be on that list!

Last time I check on the website comet, currys and pcworld all had no stock of the device. Why is everyone selling it off? is it discontinue that now the new one is out (advertise on tv the other day.)

I just bought one from Argos for £170. (Note that catalogs and even in store displays incorrectly show price at £200). I didn't think it had been available long enough to be discontinued yet - what was this newer model?

    Where from???? :D
sometimes you're the pigeon, sometimes you're the statue!

  • Just picked mine up from Argos £159.99 YIPPEEEEE! :T
  • Meant to also say that an Argos TV advert last night (29/11/05) was advertising 20% off all sat nav until 7th December. Not sure if the current £159.99 includes this or whether this is something coming tomorrow. I say tomorrow as the current crop of special offers on Argos' website seem to expire today so I take the 7th to be a "one week only" special offer.
