Do you need a Somerfield store with the units in stock for Staples to do a proce match?? I can't find any Somerfield stock around the Derby area.

Yes you do, I took the phone number of my local Somerfields to Staples (it has to be within 5 miles of the store), Staples rang to confirm it was in stock and then did the price match.
  • How did you manage that? I got mine from Staples on a price match with Somerfields and paid £92.99, they price match and give 10% of the difference back.

The Somerfields I found with one left had it priced at £89.99 :D
    It's sold now though, sorry.

could some one PLEASE tell me how to reduce the frequency of the speedcamera boings before I am about to reach them. I still want them but only a few seconds before rather than what seems like 30 seconds before.
    thanks

I don't think you can. Anyway, it only continuously "boings" if you're exceeding the speed limit.

If you use the POI loader in manual mode you can change the distance/speed at which the 'bong' occurs. Had a quick look at it but not actually done it myself.

That's weird, mine only boings when i'm going too fast.
  • I was lucky enough to get one from Somerfields as a prezzie for my dad's birthday.

There's no mention of a guarantee on the receipt so I just wondered where I stood if it was faulty/became faulty.

    Anyone know please?
Hopeless by name, hopeless by nature.

Another possibility is that when you uploaded the POI file the speed/distance was set to Kmh/Km. You need to change it to MPH/miles before you upload the POI's. 30Kmh= apx 18mph.

You will have a 12 month guarentee which you could take up with either Somerfield or Garmin should something go wrong. Technically you should go via the retailer. However, Garmin support in my experience are pretty good. They swapped over a friends' i3, which he didnt have the receipt for, by post due to a problem locating satelites.

Dont think you will have any problem rectifying an issue should something go wrong.
