Tom'sMum, hope that all is going well with Tom'sDad.
Stolt, love your pink wallpaper, it looks really good, so worth all of your hard work on it.
Andy, hope Mrs Andy isn't having too many probs with the gestational diabetes. Fingers crossed she can control it by diet.
LC, how's little LC doing? One of GrandTwins has just got first tooth, but is still very drooly so suspect next one on the way already. Other twin is just very drooly, so guess he'll have first tooth soon!We babysat last Thursday while DD went to dental hygienist and for nurse appointment later... It was fun, but we were both knackered afterwards! :rotfl:
Kitchen is now going in, on Friday OH went round and took some pics as he was over to show one of his work colleagues the kitchen since he's doing up his house and was curious.
Fitter said he wouldn't be surprised if the granite bods went in and did it over the weekend since then they could take Monday off...
Went back on Saturday, and found we have granite! :j

I just love it so much, spent some time in there drooling over it when we went to the house yesterday to do the Big Garden Birdwatch.
OH met with Kitchen Man again at lunch time and we have to get back to him over the Utility room plans ASAP. Sorry not been updating, too much been going on!0 -

Hi...the house is looking fantastic! Btw...what boiler did you have installed? We had a busy hour in our garden trying to keep count yesterday morning...the feathered friends are costing us a bomb but well worth it.

Kind of... We've lived in our current home since 1973, so it'll be a wrench. DD2 was born in the bedroom here, which also makes this house special to me.
But it'll be much easier to keep on top of the gardening when we move! :j Garden is a complete mess at the mo as we haven't really done much since mid September when the work started.
OH has planted garlic before we had the snow and the freeze, since then he's moved a few more pots from front garden to up the back which has freed up some space in the front so I started pruning the quince. Well, it's more a matter of finishing what I started before the build began!
Did you manage to get your bench legs sorted yet?0 -

Thanks.Worcester Bosch Greenstar... Sorry didn't get the size, unless 30i (think that was what it said) means something to you? Box for it is currently blocking up the utility room window [STRIKE]to stop folks looking in[/STRIKE] for privacy, so didn't see it all. I'll look better next time we visit, prob not before Thursday now as OH works Mon-Wed and it's dark when he gets home.

:rotfl: Birdwatching isn't a cheap hobby is it! :rotfl: Aldi is doing it's cheap bird food and nesting boxes etc week from Thursday. We'll prob try and top up our stores, there's the caravan to think about too come March (or whenever we manage to get there).
Must look out our last year's sheet of results to see what differences there are. (I'm pretty sure I won't have thrown it away - neither of us throw stuff away, which is why moving is going to take so long - arrggghhh the clutter!) Kept hearing both sparrows and greenfinch, but neither appeared.0 -

Kitchen's looking good already, Maggie! It can't be long now. When I get my life back (when, when .....) I'll do lovely things like the birdwatch. It's so sad how the birdlife has declined round here over the last ten years - but, to my delight, I did see three blackbirds in the garden on Monday morning so maybe they are on the way back.
I'm getting my bathroom stuff delivered on Friday. I'm rather dreading it as there is loads and only me to check it, and I don't exactly know what I am supposed to be getting as regards plumbing bits and bobs. The builders are due back on Monday (fingers crossed) but I'm back at work then. I'm also concerned about leaving it all in an empty house, albeit one with a burglar alarm. I'm going to put newspaper over the windows in the room I'm storing it in (a downstairs front room with big windows, unfortunately). Is that a good idea? Maybe it will give the impression that someone is living there.
I'm also concerned that the WC unit is deeper than I thought. I don't know how I managed that one and just hope it will look ok in the 'flesh'. I'm sure this whole process has aged me. Even if it hasn't actually shortened my life, and that is debatable, it will certainly have taken the best part of a year from it - and I'm not sure that's a good trade off.
I've told family and friends (who I hardly see these days) that if I ever threaten to do something like this again they should just chloroform me.
Hope x0
