shame doodledo.....I am taking the children as well, so didn't really feel I could take them out of school to go to a Take That Gig. They have enough time out of school for skiing, so I would probably be pushing it a bit.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Just catching up again.
Glad you have had a frivolous moment Hypno. Good on yer.....
Your shoulder sounds awful but perhaps it's good you found out now that it's not OK rather than x number of years down the line when it might have been more difficult to treat and you'd be out of time for claiming compensation. have you been referred for physiotherapy?
Sad about the kitten. Is the sister acting more normally now?CCs @0% £24k Dec 05 £19,621.41 Au £13400 S 12600 Oct £11,981 £9481 £7500 Nov £7250 D £7100 Jan 6950 F £5800 Mar£5400 May £4830 June £4660 July £4460 Aug £3200, S £900, £0 18/9/07 DFW Nerd 0420 -
Glad you got a better sleep and well done on your frivolous spend as you've all got to have some fun...it can't be debt busting all of the time.0

verbatim, I think the sister kitten is loving the extra attention that DD is giving her.....
Re my shoulder, I had a very very lovely offer today - because my bupa cover will not pay out for treatment if I need it, due to it being a "pre-existing condition", my employers have said they will fund a consultant privately if I need it, in order that I do not have to wait for the NHS! So I am very very lucky, in that if I do need more help, I can get it quickly.
I feel a bit guilty about the concert tickets - it is a lot of money for one day out, but the children are quite excited by it so I think it will be worth it. No more frivolity for me now, though until I am debt free.........Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Have just had a moment of incredible frivolous madness.......
.......and have bought tickets for the 4 of us to go and see Take That :rotfl:
I have earned enough from Mystery shopping in October to pay for them, so I am going to use it for something different for a change, rather than paying the debt.

Good for you Hypno - you deserve a treat every now and again. We've just splashed out on taking the Acaela Express from Washington to New York at Christmas - thats maxed the credit card out !!!!
Glad the other kitten is perking up.
Feeling much better today - have so far made 3 papier mache pigs as Christmas presents.

Sorry to hear about the kitten Hypno we have had that happen to us too, os i know how you feel.
And yeah to Take That, i think you definately deserve a treat.xBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
I have been quiet at work for the last half hour, so have been playing that game we all know and love.....
......."re-work your SOA"
I think I can shift some of the payments about - either from dates that are not favourable (why pay the council tax on the 27th, when payday is 28th for example!) or to move payments out of one bank account to another, thereby, hopefully, reducing the shortfall that we have from OH wages.
So, at the moment, the debt payments and the food/petrol comes out of my wages. The mortgage and all the household bills - council tax, utilities etc, come out of OH wages and he does not earn enough to cover them.
By swapping the food/petrol for the mortgage, so my account pays the debts and the mortgage, the food/petrol budget therefore becomes OH wages less bills.........that way, there is no shortfall as such, just a reduced food/petrol budget. (and to be honest we should be able to manage that figure with a bit of focus and effort).
It makes sense to me, so I will continue on those figures when I get home.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0
