Yesterday I mentioned my vision of everyone having an hour to save their most wanted things and then everything else going into a skip........and then the slightly less drastic option of boxing everything up, and then getting rid of it in 6 months if that box has not been opened, on the basis that no one has missed it......
......Well, Pania last night thought the first option a little extreme.......but once I explained the second option a bit more, thought that was slightly more sane.
So, "Operation Box-Up" has started, with the mini campaign of "operation i-tunes" now under way. I will put all our CDs old and new, on i-tunes, then store the CDs in a box. If no one listens to the "proper" cd in the next 6 months, then they obviously won't miss it if I get rid of it. And if they do suddenly decide that they want to listen to something from the "classic collection" then they can do so on i-tunes.
It's a start......I need to find some decent storage boxes in order to keep things safe whilst in "limbo", and decide where they are going to be kept, but it should work............Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Wow.... serious level of decluttering starting up again in the hypno household - well, that's the kind of thing this month is earmarked for, to get where you live more pleasant. Hope it goes well - and I'll *really* be crossing my fingers for you on the Adult Ed thing, if you're winging it at that level. Eep! Good luck!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

P, you know you are just jealous of my Norwegian Cheese slicer collection.......they don't just slice cheese, you know - they do an excellent job on cucumber.......and of creating courgette ribbons........
.......and I just KNOW you are jealous of my avocado peeler....I can tell!
but yes, DD's face was a picture. When I said "you can save 20 items of clothing" she said "but I'll just DIE"
KC, the student's parents are coming to visit (not to stay, thankfully) in October half term so I need to have a little less chaos by that time. :eek:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Morning Hypno and all.
Good luck with the Adult Ed days.
I am loving the new declutter idea and proper "lol'd" at your daughters comment regarding her clothes. I love the drama of teenagers :T
I bet she will be starting to hard things soon in case you remove them.Proud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712

I laughed out loud too at DD's drama, thats so sweet (you can't say that to them, of course).
The slicers sound... interesting! I'm *going* to google them, you know. Why on earth do Norwegians have a special Thing to slice cheese? :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Hi Hypno and all
Love the itunes idea, I would love to do this and get rid of my CDs (I hate clutter) but how do I do it, are there any instructions for idoits about so I can learn how to do this and get on with it?
Hope your workshops are going ok today, braver than me going in unprepared I would be so stressed but I am 'often' unprepared and that is why I am often stressed! Why can't I learn?!
