Hi Walshyboy - hope you managed to snaffle lots of freebies from the conference!
Once the "no penalty" loans are paid off, it will be saving up for early redemption of the others, and I will be happy to pay the penalty to be shot of them! The penalties are very reasonable - a month's interest, so not too much to get stressed over.....the hardest bit is the fact that I can't make regular overpayments - I have to either pay the agreed monthly amount, or pay it all off in one go, which is what I will hopefully do!
got a last minute mystery shop for lunchtime - coffee and a salad at a well known coffee chain - whoever said there is no such thing as a free lunch obviously didn't do any mystery shopping
I see... Makes sense! Well I hope this down time will also ensure that you and DH will spend some quality time together! :T
And also you utilise some very savvy savings accounts! I shall read in baited breath! Debt Free since July 2011 and it feels good!
Now it's all about finding a deposit for a house!
How do you amass £70k in a year?! :eek:0 -
Oh right and the freebies!
Well it was an environmental officers conference so unless I count a mug and a packet of mints decent freebies, then no...
They did have samples of this industrial strength urine remover but I don't think my bathroom needs that...
The housemate's one on the other hand... Well... I won't dwell on that one! Debt Free since July 2011 and it feels good!

Well done Hypno. When I went on hols you were £44k+ I think and just over 2 weeks later you're down to under £43. Pretty impressive stuff.
Thinks:
Hypno must have that time replayer thingy that Hermione had in Harry Potter that allows her to use several hours of the day twice. Wonder if it's that energy monitor she got recently? mmmm now where can I get one of those? It must give out extra energy too or else it's some special coffee she drinks cos otherwise how could anyone keep going like that.:eek:CCs @0% £24k Dec 05 £19,621.41 Au £13400 S 12600 Oct £11,981 £9481 £7500 Nov £7250 D £7100 Jan 6950 F £5800 Mar£5400 May £4830 June £4660 July £4460 Aug £3200, S £900, £0 18/9/07 DFW Nerd 0420 -

I have loans too Hypno but I can only concentrate on the CC's at the mo as they are killing me. Well not literally but they are doing my head in and I cant wait to get rid. My loans were all for home improvements and 1 car finance. I'll deal with them later. They will be reducing as time goes by and will be much lower by the time I am ready to concentrate on them. x5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
Currently CC £23,674.36 /£14,895.41/£14315.42
Mortgage £28,214.65/ £26,254.71/ £25,746.43
By end 2020 I want CC at £ 19,000.00.
By end 2021 I want CC at £10,000.000
