Roseby's?

Our nearest Rosebys is over half an hour drive away but as we are currently coming towards the finish of our extension I wondered if they are having a closing sale to see if its worth travelling. I would be going to Lincoln and know that the Brighton one is having a sale but does anyone know if its nationwide? I could ring and see but would be a bit embarrased as the poor staff are potentially losing their jobs and there's me trying to save a few bob in their misfortune :o

  • Called in at our local Roseby's yesterday, as there were big posters outside stating 50% off, and 'closing down'.
Couldn't find anything with 50% off, and were hard pushed to find a few things with 30% off! Very disappointing. Hope someone else has more luck!

how strange! our local one always has a sign saying they have a sale on so i do not really look at the signs anymore - just go in when i need something...

  • King's Lynn had "closing down" sale posters in the windows yesterday but the duvet set I wanted ages ago was still full price.

We were in Plymouth yesterday, and Rosebys had all the shutters down - no closing down sale, they must've just shut up shop!!!
  • yep, closing down, was on the news apparently.

tbh, they have always been very grossly overpriced anyway, so am not surprised, just feel sorry for the people who will have lots their jobs as a result. They do seem to have nice staff, many of them older than the teenagers in most shops, so hope they find other jobs quickly.

The small Roseby in our local town centre had a sign up saying 'closing for refurbishment' now has a sign that states 'closing down for real this time'.

Never actually went in and had a look so don't know if they do actually have any bargains.

The Lynn staff always seem nice as well.
