Hello.....
Just done first grocery for month at £33.45. Mainly basics, flour for breadmaking, free yeast (yay, first time I have had the never to ask!), and things to pad out the food that I already have. I should only have to top up on milk now this week.If I had a pound for every...... oh sod it, if I just had a pound I'd be richer!0 -
Hi everyone,
This is about the third time I've attempted to post this - can't figure out what's going wrong with my laptop at the moment
Anyway, after being off the wagon for a few months, we're back on. I've set up Quicken for my small business as well as our home expenses - it's really helping me keep track of what's going where.
We're going for £400 this month and that includes one in nappies.
Hopefully we'll do well this month.CC1 £5999 Total Debt March 2021 £5999

Does anyone know if coleslaw freezes well?
Coleslaw (and anything with mayonaise in it) really doesn't freeze well. This thread might help you: What foods can/can't you freeze?

I have spent £65.12 on a big shop yesterday and £1.29 on a couple of things I'd forgotten today. Apart from getting some alcohol tonight I'm hoping that will be it apart from milk for a good few days.0

Well i was feeling quite positive last night after placing my order with MrT but gorgeous OH came home with fish and chips! He said it was a one off to enjoy the start of the month.
Today was a NSD, delivery came, i made bread and chocolate cookies, which are rather nice and not too expensive and stop me craving something quite sweet in the afternoon. I really want a cottage pie for tea but we have some thai green curry left over from earlier in the week and there really isn't enuogh to freeze, so it looks like cottage pie will have to wait until next week. I am being taken away tomorrow night and know nothing about it
So no need for a meal tomorrow night or saturday, then roast for sunday, to be followed by a chicken pie, chicken curry and a soup (well that is depending on how greedy we are or if we have guests?)
Thanks for the support it is great to have somewhere to focus the mind.Leopardlady

Hi everyone.
Haven't posted for a bit so thought I would. So far not going mad on the GC spending from and have got main Mr T shop coming tonight which shouldn't be too much. I think my strategy for this month is going to be that i run down my freezer and cupboards a bit (bought half a pig last month) and stop buying things just because they are on offer. My other news is that I am getting some chickens!!! I am so excited. I know it's a bit off topic but if anyone has any advice about cheap chicken feed I would appreciate the help.
Cheers
KatieApril GC 9th-7th may £0/£3200
