naughty i know BUT moneysaving. There's someone in my head, but it's not me0 -
im the same as some of you in that im a customer of MFI.
i paid a £300 deposit on my debit card 2 months ago and my kitchen is due next friday. Im really worried about the balance of the finance which was sold to me in the showroom by mFI staff but was through Lloyds, does anyone know for sure if il have to pay this still even if the worst happens and they go under and i get no kitchen??
id like to get my deposit back as well but id get over it if ive lost that, but having to pay another £3k for nowt would be devastating.
Does anyone know for sure so i can either relax or at least prepare for the worst.0 -
i now i havent spent alot, but i have ordered a bed last sat from mfi store, due to turn up on the 14th october, i paid by debit card, im going to go get my money bk tomorrow.0

I ordered a kitchen from mfi last month and after a few days changed my mind which I was entitled to. I paid them a deposit of £1500 by a debit card. It took them 6 weeks to process the refund!! Thats after chasing them every other day and for some strange reason they sent me a cheque instead of refunding the card.
good luck guys hope you get your money back0 -
I'm a little bias when it comes to kitchens, but I don't want to see anyone lose out on something..
Reading the Unofficial forums for MFI-MEP employee's this is the typical type of post atm....
The staff have also been asked NOT to refund anything and to hold on as long as possible. On Monday we will announce Administration, all stores will close!
100 sites will open again under a new name meaning we/ they can walk away from the others. Unfortunately that means that 100 stores won't open again, so it's goodbye to another group of workmates. Which stores you ask..... well if your lease was backed by Galiform then ...you are history since they will have to pay up and that makes the process easier. There was no love lost between the two companies at the end anyway.
So if you are owed money, get it or get something of value before Monday Morning when all you will get is a notice on the door.

Wow. Someone with a really big mouth got that badly wrong. If anybody deserves to lose their job, it would be them!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

What an absolutely disusting post, shame on you for trying to tout for business, following the press releases this weekend. Thousands of peoples jobs could have been at risk and still will be whilst consumer confidence is restored, because of this type of scare mongering.Sealed pot challenge no 5820
