MFI - should i get my deposit back??

Last week I paid a £450 deposit getting a new bathroom installation to MFI. They balance is to be paid by 12 months interest free credit provided by MFI. I guess a bank will finance this on behalf of MFI
Have had the pre-fit survey day before yesterday and had decided to go ahead with the installation.
However I saw news today that MFI might go into administration and hence I'm worried that I'll end up losing my deposit and that even without having a bathroom. Also the bank or finance company could chase me for the balance payment withouth having ever had a bathroom from them in the first place.
I paid the initial deposit by credit card.
Not sure what happens in case of MFI going into administration. Are my concerns valid? Should I cancel the order and get my deposit back?

I agree !
Your safe paying via your credit card, do not panic.
We are thinking of getting our kitchen from ebay, fairly cheap Item number 140268003005 for the guys shop. :A0 -
Agree with above. You will get your money back if they go bust and fail to deliver your kitchen.0

In another posting I made ( in the last 48 hours) I praised the MFI kitchen I installed.
If I was in the market for another kitchen, I would be checking out their showrooms
( WITH A CREDIT CARD )

Administration would mean that the company keeps trading! It means there's a viable profit making business in there somewhere, it just isn't being run properly.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

With MFI long history of woe, you should not loose to much sleep

Staying with the topic *MFI* There is a kitchen warehouse here, who actually supply Mfi, and their prices are quarter of the price mfi charge! BUT you need a trading card, A friend of mine just mentioned now he went on bought one from the warehouse, where it is trebble in mfi!0

He'd be talking about Howdens. They don't make for MFI anymore. You can get MFI down to similar prices if you bargain hard.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
