Tend to agree that the Phillips, although ½ the memory does seem a better built product, from a more reliable name. That said 500 song vs 1000 songs - depends what you need overall.

I bought one of these from Argos in Tunstall

The screen kept flicking from music to the main menu, took it back and got an exchange now there is another fault on the 2nd one..

Taking it back tomorrow and not getting another one...load of rubbish!!:mad:

Wharfedale used to be a fantastic brand of hifi, (up there with b&o) better than sony etc, dont know what the quality is like today though

according to wikipedia, but there is no source - the Wharfedale name has been licenced to Argos. however the original Wharefdale team still make speakers and are part of some other group.
