you've specified - SD and Sport that would normally suggest Plasma is more suitable rather than LCD
Not said what size you are after ?
but for that sort of money the panasonic 42px80 is well regarded - they also do a 37" version for less than 500
this was recently discussed HERE0 -
have a look in argos they have some great deals on at the moment0

Have a look for further reviews at AV Forums - http://www.avforums.com/forums/index.php0

You really need to let us know what kind of size you're looking for, or what size room it's going into.0

Which one do you recommend is bought Torres? Theres 2 different 37" models in the uk and im really confused:idea:0 -
you may struggle to get a 100hz lcd at that price, maybe not. plasmas seem to be coming down in price so perhaps get a plasma.
which gives the most benefit full hd or 100hz? i'm not sure but if you arent bothered about using any type of hd source then try and get a tv with 100hz for sure.0 -

Richer Sounds are doing Panasonic 42PX80 for £599, it's a superb TV, I have one. Don't go for LCD, Plasma is much better no matter what you're told (I worked in the industry for eight years) Richer will try to sell you another screen instead as they're using this offer purely to entice you into the shop (they're actually selling it at a loss - this means that they're unlikely to keep one on display. No point asking for a demo though, as no one's going to take the time to demo something that's going to lose them money!) Insist on the Panasonic. They also do 5 yr warranty for 10% of the cost of the screen as well which is a bargain.0
