LOL @ you lot with your swapboxes.
Shakes head in bemusement and amusement whilst uttering... "Women!"0 -
Morning all, the swapboxes sound fun, made me smile reading about all the pressies, it's so lovely to read about you all being happy
. I hope there will be more to read about!
Thanks for the chart granny I get really excited on Wednesdays waiting for it, does that make me sad? Hi Sophie--that sounds like a good target, and london--it is nice to realise you're not invisible at times! Hope you get a call soon vic, and that the flu passes quickly.
All those notebook/food diarys in the swap boxes make me feel motivated to dig out a notebook and start a food diary, something I've never managed for long, but reading everyone's stories on here is very motivating.
Have a good day, jay xxAnytime;)0 -
Morning
I just told DH I was going to go on line to open my swap box present and got such a funny look! He thinks it's all very childish, but I think it's fun, so here goes...
The parcel is wrapped in brown paper and tied with cotton gift ribbon with little coloured pompoms.... there's a note .... aah it's from Marion ...ok, opening it now...
Excellent! I've got a collapsible silicone measuring cup set - how clever, it's all sealed but they've given access to one of them and the measuring part expands, so it changes from a flat, table tennis bat shape, to a cup shape... very space saving, great for the caravan!
Thank you Marion, and thanks for the lovely comments in the note.:kisses3:
LL
LL, I am so glad you like them. I bought them quite early on and thought they would be perfect for you but then as time passed doubts start to set in and I had worked myself into a right old paddy about it:o:rotfl:. Really must work on my confidence and decision making:rotfl:!
Love

Bails
Thank you so much!
I have a beautiful pendant to put on a chain. It is exactly what I would have chosen for myself!!! Plus a lovely card came with it which has a fun pic of a cat (again I would have chosen it if I saw it!).
Thanks KPC for organising this!
Marion I thought I had put a little gold card on it from me but must have forgotten! Glad you like your swapbox!I would if I could but I can't so I won't!0 -
Just in case any MSEers haven't heard, it's a 1.5% drop in BBR today. I'm astonished!0

....it will help your house in 2 ways seren, even if you don't catch the rate drop
1. It should put at least some liquidity into the market, thus enhancing your equity
2. Overpaying your mortgage will now be by far and away the most profitable long-term savings vehicle. You'll be more likely to do that, so your debt will fall0 -
Sounds like you have all had a fab time with your swap boxes.
Wish I could have afforded to do it this time.

Oh, I'm so glad you like it Tagz, I was beginning to have the same doubts as Marion about whether I'd done the right thing! Jewellery can be such a personal thing and not knowing someone in person means it feels like a bit of a risk! PHEW!
:rotfl:
Sorry you couldn't take part Beanie, hope you're enjoying reading about them anyway and hopefully you can be part of it next time (oh yes, there'll be a next time Ajax)
Thanks KPC for organising the swap boxes, you've been fab (again!) :kisses3:
