Taking a slight tangent - I've entered some for golfing breaks in places I fancing visiting in the hope that I don't have to play golf if I don't want to! Same with some of the skiing hols. I've got a spare wrist brace if needed! :o

I recently won a 4 night golf holiday in Scotland. And I don't play golf.
Have taken prize and didn't have to play golf, although they were a bit surprised!
Entered so I could take my girlfriend who is Chinese to see Scotland.
    We both enjoyed our visit.
Good luck to those using ebay. Not my business what you do.

About five years ago won Virgin concert tickets which included free camping!
I only entered for the runners up prize of a new mobile, so i gave them away free
(didn't realise until they arrived they were worth £70 each) so recipient was very happy.
Same thing happened a couple of years ago for Isle of Wight festival. Wanted runners up prize, but got a main prize. I don't do camping.
Put them on ebay, face value was £110 each. Sold both for a total of £250.
That was only time I have ever used ebay to sell.
I rarely bother for CDs, DVDs, Computer games or consoles, tickets, smellies etc
unless, sometimes, when there are say 100 prizes.
Rather concentrate on things I want.

    But that's just me.

Part of the Furniture 10,000 Posts Combo Breaker Mortgage-free Glee!
Personally I only enter competitions that I want. I would like to win a holiday but never enter competitions for family holidays as I don't have any children under the age of 18 and I don't enter any competitions for children's items etc. Sometimes when there is a competition for someone aged 18 or for festival tickets, concerts etc I put my son or daughters name in the box. But I like to leave competitions that someone else would appreciate.

However it doesn't really matter atm as I haven't won a thing apart from a paperback.

As with most people, I only enter for things I would like or I know someone else who would. Have no use for kids stuff, for example, or tickets/holidays. Don't bother with ebay so I don't see the point.
