I don't really see any need for that tbh...I was asked why I thought the wii was pants, I answered. I don't believe throughout my post I looked down on anybody for being a casual gamer or enjoying the wii. Perhaps if you can't stick with the forum rules here (I'm thinking, particularly, the "be nice to moneysavers bit") you could find another forum on which to pick on people and make yourself feel good.
I would also, in no way, categorise myself as a serious gamer at present - I've played my 360 something like 10 hours in the past 4/5 months
You don't have to be a "serious" gamer to expect a little depth, prettiness, gameplay or challenge in your games...it makes them "fun"...Skiing the same two courses 1500 times over is "REPETITIVE" not "FUN" (especially when there's no online leaderboards to compare yourself with your friends...) and that's exactly my problem with the wii.0 -

On the subject and further to my earlier post, for those interested in the topic, rather than those who just wish to poke fun at other people's pass times...
The online support on the wii is really poor compared to the other current gen offerings...I couldn't believe how tough it was to get set up to send messages to my sister, an absolute joke...I appreciate this is partially down to the Nintendo "family friendly" ethos, only wanting kids to be friends with people they know, but it's not really in the spirit of the internet or the 21st century, for that matter. The lack of voice comms is also a major limiting factor...whilst the Wii's a good "social tool" within a household, it's usefulness is very much restricted to within those four walls...0 -

Blummin hell, chill out! If you can't take a bit of banter, don't bother posting essays on forums!! Cos you've always got to expect some back.
I have never met anyone from this forum and, as such, I don't take critiscm or banter personally, because nobody knows me!!! Get over it!0 -

I'm quite happy to "expect some back" if I give some in the first place. As it stands, I posted my thoughts on the strengths and weaknesses of the wii...As such, I "expect back" some of your thoughts on the subject, criticisms of my thoughts, or maybe further comment on the OP. I don't expect to be insulted because of your preception of my passtimes.
I don't need to chill, nor to get over it...I've not done anything wrong here...
You need to remember that old phrase "if you don't have anything nice to say...". Re-evaluate your post...what was the good in it, besides to put me down and make you look better by contrast? Does this seem like a nice thing to write? What does it say about you as a person? Will you be proud when your mum reads it? Does it add to the discussion?0 -
Look if you want an apology, here, I'm sorry.
I wasn't trying to upset you, nor make myself look good, I only try to do that in real life, not on forums.
Now, I'm bored, i'm gonna go play the Wii!0 -
I pre- ordered mine months ago from Amazon, I think it looks brill for my kids DD 5 and DS 4. I might also have a go with my friends after a few drinkies.:beer:0

If I'd described myself as a "serious gamer", it might have been funny, yeah...Like "oh, look at that funny oxymoron you said 'serious gamer'...tee hee hee".
Just saying "you're sad for what you do in your life, not like me, who is great" doesn't sound that funny to me?0 -
will the wii's be able to be sold for a fair amount still on Ebay, i may sell some on there soon0

Non gamers rushed out to by the Wii, played it when they're younger cousins etc came round, then never touched it again. Good marketing from Nintendo, but hardly the best console about. It's too lightweight and gimmicky."I have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something."0
