Hello all its Saturday yippee :jAnd on 23rd i had been debt free for 1 whole month! :j
I got paid yesterday but the bank balance is looking a bit sad already!
I spent £148 on a Tesco delivery yesterday but the cupboards are rammed now and so is the fridge and that included beer, vodka and cider so not too bad.
I also spent £21.25 in Iceland so freezer is full too as got a few frozen bits from Tesco as well.
Then we got a Dominoes last night which i paid for as said i would treat him when got paid as he has brought a few takeaways recently so that was £20 after using a 25% off code from hotukdeals, its so expensive now and i don't really like it either i prefer Pizza Hut.
Today i have spent £63 at Vets getting Izzy's jabs up to date and getting her vaccinated against Feline Leukemia too as she didn't have that but Spencer is vaccinated and i would be gutted if she got it, its a bad thing for cats.
Frazz Spencer is fine now
Also posted off OH's game i sold on eBay for him, i am keeping the money as i paid for his car insurance upgrade for the new car, he made £26.60 for 2 games not bad but he still owes me another £73 for insurance and £180 from when his was ill and couldn't give me any money but i will get that back over time.
Going to transfer £150 into Isa soon, i tried to put money on my clubcard plus yesterday to cover the tesco shop but it didn't clear in time (sometimes the faster payment thing works, others it doesn't) so once that clears i will swap it into my ISA as paid for Tesco on another card when it arrived and lost £6 in deals because of it as i couldn't use the clubcard plus for double points
Not sure what plan for today is, getting hungry, should be good and stay in and eat but think we might go Mcdonalds usual Saturday routineNow a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
Glad your puddy cat is ok now.
That was a big spend in Tesco you had, is that your food for the whole month? Do you do monthly food shops rather than weekly? God i dread doing food shops when we move out...OH and i are sooo fussy! I dont like much and OH never stops eating!Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -
I don't always do big shops but had a points code to use so if i am doing it online anyway i tend to stock up. That did include over £30 of alcohol though and checked my debit card and was charged £138 in the end, hopefully that should last us a while, might have to go shopping again in a couple of weeks.
I hate grocery shopping, would rather pay for someone to do it and drop it off for meNow a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
know what you mean with the grocery shopping....i hate it too!!
unfortunately, where i live i only have the option of delivery from mr T...and i am not always that keen on their 'substitutions'....not that i have ever had them myself but a friend of mine has ended up with some of the most bizarre things!!:rotfl:
congrats on your first month debt free...:jwhat an amazing acheivement!!

Frazz there is an option you can pick where you don't have substitutions if you ever do try.
On the money side of things that £150 finally showed up on clubcard account today so now in ISA so siggy updated. Now have 2% of house deposit saved lol
Also finally got an email confirming i am getting my £10 back from take a break so have started that daily scratchcard again.
Looks like Extrabet is going to roll over again on quidco, getting a tad annoyed with this now  It validated 6 weeks ago!
And on day 28 out of 31 with no heating on! :j
Its very cold today but i am so close to achieving this mini goal i will not give in! I have fluffy socks on and 1 thin jumper and a hoody right now though!
OH is really wanting to go through November too but i am not up for that! :snow_grinNow a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -

OH is really wanting to go through November too but i am not up for that! :snow_grin
I will look for that if i do order from them!.....is your oh a polar bear???!!! i had my open fire on yesterday so turned my heating off...but that's the only way it goes off at this time of year!! Really impressed that you are doing so well without it.....hopefully the snow won't turn up until 1st november!!:rotfl:0 -
No snow for me luckily yet. And still no heating on! I refuse to give in when so close, today i have 2 pairs of fluffy socks on, a t-shirt, cardie and hoody though!
My OH is wrapped in a duvet too lol but he likes the whole saving money thing.
So day 29 out of 31 acheived, as we both work full time its just the evening we have to endure and we have 2 duvets on bed at night so its actually quite toasty there.
On the money side i redeemed £15 of Dooyoo Amazon vouchers for Christmas shopping this morning, think i will go for the cash option after.
I also got very excited this morning as had to get bus to work (normally get a lift) and the driver gave me a £2 coin in my change, i only need 1 more to cash £20 worth into my ISA
Extrabet han't received yet still on Quidco though :rolleyes:Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
Have you recieved your amazon vouchers yet hun?0

Hey Dawn,
I'm also waiting for Extrabet, its taking forever. Just like yours mine was validated just over a month ago, its sooo annoying, especially when on the website it says payment speed one month, what a load of s**t!!!!
Well done on not putting on the heating you. I've made my OH put the heating on every night because i have been so cold. I had a bad headache on Monday night so i turned the heating off (heat gives me headaches sometimes) and instead wrapped myself up in the duvet on the sofa, i was shocked at how warm you stay just wrapping yourself in a duvet. OH wants to chuck a duvet over me everynight now and save some money lol.

Not yet Babes i think they send them out Thursday what others have said.
God Hayley i seriously can't wait until Saturday to bask in the heating :rotfl:
I am going to be a lot stricter this winter with it on though. Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0
