    Just a few questions:
Will they pay for your travel expenses getting to the restaurant and back a well as the actual meal?
    No
Will they let your husband come along with you and will his meal get paid for too or does that have to be paid seperately?
Dines are often for more than 1, the details will tell you the number of diners and reimbursement per diner (which is paid on a single bill)
Do you have to apply for every single dine that you see available when you sign in?

Depends if you want to do them or not.

You do know they are very touchy about being talked about on t'interweb. There's a note on their news section about it. This is why they're never mentioned explicitly by name in the actual MS chat thread.

They also are touchy if you moan in their community forum...

Although the details in their T&C's (and the news section) prohibit you from referring to "A specific mystery visit" rather than referring to TMDC in general.

I checked that and the recent one says that, the one before says they don't want themselves mentioned at all.

Hmmm we'll have to agree to disagree....

I don't think saying "Mystery Dining Company" breaches their terms and conditions as it isn't 'Confidential information' in itself (which is the specified term in the previous Condition)

Whereas asking questions such as "What do the Secret Eating Company mean when they say ....................... " could well be as its relating to specifics of a visit.
  • Thanks dazza.mk for answering my questions! I did apply yesterday but I didn't get a confirmation e-mail or anything. I hope the application got through...? :S

    Hi there,
I've had trouble before when applying to be a mystery diner and being unsuccessful. I think they used to be very strict on people they accepted due to their location or written skills.
However, I believe they are being a bit more lenient with applications now.
I've now been a mystery diner for years and have done almost 500 mystery visits so far.
The Mystery Dining Company even did an interview on me not that long ago which is now on their website.
All in all, I would definitely recommend them as its great fun and there's no limit to how often you can dine as a mystery diner!
