There is no easy answer to that question, you've just joined and are therefore a bronze member. Silver members will see new assignments a few days before you, gold a few days before them etc., so it is a case of'struggling' to get upto silver level, it is then comparatively easier to get to Gold etc.

If you are in an 'oversubscribed' area unfortunately it can take a while however!

    Great
Thanks for your help - ill just keep checking everyday - cant wait to get going now :)

Most assignments are available at the beginning of the month according to their website, but as others have said, us bronze members don't get to see as many as the silver, gold or platinum members. I keep checking every time I go online to see if there are any more, but there haven't been any since I did my first visit. Hoping that October yields more.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Has anyone else noticed the dines have been really thin on the ground lately? There have probably been less than 10 dines posted over the last two months! Whereas I used to do 3-4 per month, I have now done 1 in two months! Hmm, looks like restaurants are cutting back.

Yep - I had one in September when I joined, and one in October, but haven't had any dines in my area come up at all for ages. I know I'm only a bronze member, but I expected to see a few more - even ones outside my area have mainly been abroad. I guess that now it's the Christmas run-up that they won't be having many dines available, as the restaurants will be catering for Christmas bookings. Don't know if this is the case as I've not been with TMDC long enough to know if this is the status quo at this time of year. Is there anyone out there who has been with them a while who knows?

I'm a platinum member so see dines first and there have been none! Last year and the year before, there wasn't a shortage no matter what month it was.

So, I've just accepted my first mystery dine.

Just a random question - do we get fees for doing them or is it just reimbursement? I see no mentions of fees but know the reimbursement amounts. Or does it depend on what the shop is?

    Thanks!

If there were fees on the job they would have been mentioned on the 'blurb', anything other than reimbursement only jobs are few and far between and aren't usually your typical 'dine'.

Anyone had any dines recently? I had none in November, and nothing is coming up anywhere near my area this month. Just wondering if anyone else has had any?

You do know they are very touchy about being talked about on t'interweb. There's a note on their news section about it. This is why they're never mentioned explicitly by name in the actual MS chat thread.

They also are touchy if you moan in their community forum...
  • Just a few questions:
Will they pay for your travel expenses getting to the restaurant and back a well as the actual meal?
Will they let your husband come along with you and will his meal get paid for too or does that have to be paid seperately?
Do you have to apply for every single dine that you see available when you sign in?

    Thanks!
